The Company had a part in making that movie. Subliminal messages are just a start to our ploys.

One of the funniest ones we did was the one that makes you get up in the middle of the movie to go to the restroom. We did that for the movie industry so they could make more off their concessions. (The real reason is so we can get individual pictures of people coming out instead of trying to take shots of people in crowds. We can identify our targets much easier that way. I'm not really telling you this which is why it's in parentheses.)

How did he do that?
I came home from a 3rd world country and all I could see on the billboards advertising sex everything seemed to be about sex. It hit me because I had been in countryside beaches and palms. The sea with no telly or videos etc

Presented his case backed up with data. Only later was it determined that the data was mostly fabricated! At the time movies were using single frame inserts for some effects. The Exorcist had a single frame of a face inserted into the film.

Hmmm, HollyWood.
Tease the imagination, the seat of fantasy in real terms.

The Exorcist had a single frame of a face inserted into the film. I vividly remember that. Freaked me the first time I watched it.

Watched it last night.
Had very low expectations. But it wasn't as bad as I expected.
2-1/2 hours ??
They could have down with shorter special effects.
... but it got me thinking ... I'll start a new thread on that.
