I stand in awe of a God who when he calls he equips, who opens doors no man can close and closes doors no man can open, who uses the the comfort of the wealthy to bring about his plan and shifts things into position in preparation of what he is about to do. I think you're pretty amazing too Shushy. You and God are a great pair!

I think you're pretty amazing too Shushy. You and God are a great pair! Aww you are so sweet..that must be the kindest most beautiful compliment anyone ever spoke over my life. THank you. It is true what I said. My life in the last few weeks has been full and busy with finalising everything and I kept fasting and praying and believing for certain things, on a daily basis in the last 2 weeks he has opened doors for me to complete things. In one yr I now have 6 people helping me in different areas, and I cant count how many lives the Lord has helped. Im just astounded at the blessing. Not just the joy in my heart that comes from this. Even to the point of meeting new people strategicly at the 11th hour. Its like he is taking care of my life in a way I never expected. I do not feel free to write down all the details presently. I just know he is without doubt huge, merciful and certainly a good father in provision and abundance. I have never felt so rich inside. One thing that happened. It was one week after I had sent the cargo and a new friend was having a garage sale and she told me to come and choose what ever I wanted. I now have a large amount of beautiful toys in ex condition to send some of these children for xmas. Toys that to purchase in the shops would cost hundreds. Im eager to discover the next step for the next 12 months.

My trip quite simply was incredible from the 1st day when the Lord brought a stranger to help me shop in the local market, carrying all my goods and returning me to my hotel, to how he touched peoples lives and encouraged them on the island to picking up 4 new orphans, to meeting the school teachers and principle and all the requests they had and them embracing me and greeting me with a island feast to Gods favour wherever I went. I stand in awe of his provision, leading, his goodness. Since returning home he opened more doors. In short I will journal the next 12months then probably write a book of how he moves and works behind the scenes then brings it all together to fulfill his plan. He is an awesome inspiring, incredibly time linked and the presence of God I experienced was nothing like I had ever had before it was as though I was enveloped in a cloud of tangible love and everywhere I went lives were touched, I made many new friends and now have the plan for the next 12 months forming daily. I feel humbled and blessed that God is using me this way. He also rose up 3 intercessors to pray through the whole time I was away.

I think it's a real good idea to write a book about your experiences. It would be real inspirational for sure. I will be gone again for awhile but will try and get back on line again soon.

snow I was challenged by a large company with the possiblity of supporting me to form a charity, had to find a suitable name, and then the process was very difficult and would have cost a lot and I may have had to quit work to run it. I woke a few days later realising I had lost the peace in my spirit. If I went ahead with it my focus would have been different. The joy I have, others would have been robbed of experiencing. I remember when I supported a child with World Vision yrs ago that I paid the money and that felt good. But this being hands on and in relationship is quite different an incredible joy and gives me a wonderful sense of worth. I want those who are with me to feel this too. The accountant phoned me and said it was a very expensive excersize and advised against it This was after I had decided not to form a non for profit charity. Maybe some time in the future, but not right now.

snow I just scored another pile of beautiful toys for the orphans last nite. They will have an exciting christmas. Im so happy at how God takes care of the little things and he is in the details. Last yr I kept planting the financal seed. This yr he seems to be providing everything at very little or no cost to me so that the money goes into more needed areas. Interesting huh. One request from the headmaster was for dvd's for the recreational time on a friday. That was like the very least priority for me. Way down on the list. I was looking and searching the cheapest way because of cost. Last night I got given a pile of educational games on dvd...yeeee haaa We serve an awesome God.

You are doing great work. I agree that a non profit charity is a lot of work, commitment and expense. I think you are doing lots right now. If it destroys your peace, I think that is a sign that it's not the right path at the moment. Maybe sometime in the future, maybe not. I believe there is no wrong or right per se, but merely what works and what does not work. That's more or less how I live my life. Love and reaching for the best I can be of course is involved in that decision. I think you do all of this. Hugs back at ya!!

snow Thank you so much for encouraging me it means a lot. Hey, Im so happy some of the poor people Im linked with have been praying and God is speaking to them about how to get out of their poverty. Isnt that wonderful. Its like an infectious blessing all of this. Like a snowball gathering momentum. I love it bz almost daily something is transpiring. I now have women giving me their beautiful cast offs at most womens sizes I just realised. Its so much fun. Take care of you... It's actually quite understandable. You have a great passion about you that is inspiring these people. I would say that would be 'infectious'. If you have passion and love AND you're having fun, they see this and want it too. Good stuff!

There is so much need. I'm believing for a number of miracles. The power of the witchdoctors in this country is strong in the minds of the people. Our God is all powerful and full of might. we need to see the spirit of might that overthrows and heals to the point of perfection. I know he can do it. Cheers snow...I love you

Last August, I was told someone close to me had all the symtoms of a rare disease. When I read about this disease I was momentarily devastated. How could this be in someone seemingly healthy. Vibrant. Happy. I say momentarily because I did not want this person ill. They are young. I began to believe for a "good report." I was shaken to say the least and so was my faith. It shook my mind. This person has strong faith refusing to read about the disease until the 6mths were up and more tests results were required. At the 6mth visit more tests and 2 more months were required, more tests[biposy] then results 3 wks later. About 3 weeks ago as I was fasting and praying for this person, God gave me a vision; I saw her bathed in the glory of God, totally covered. I forgot to tell her until the other day.
I have just had a phone call to say it isnt the rare genetic disease. Im giving God all the glory for this. Whether is was a miracle or a working out of faith I still give him glory. Round one is a winner. I feel so relieved. The disease was such that it would have been dangerous to produce children, and could have meant a long long illness. (I cant say too much) Heartache and pain for everyone.
Yes, I will declare the goodness of God. He is a good God. He hears us when we cry out. He hears us when we are weak. He hears us even when we deny him. I will ever praise his name in the midst of my enemies. Its times like these that the Word becomes living and active. Yesterday I was given fantastic news. All the tests are complete and there is no abnormality. All the symtoms have now disappeared and the person has her miracle. I burst into tears. God is so good. She asked why I was crying and I told her right at the begining last yr how my heart plummeted at the thought of loosing my baby and that I clung to the Lord in faith for her miracle. I want to encourage you if you too are believing for something impossible from God. Be patient and dont give up because in the season of time he comes through. I felt all along that this was a working miracle because of the time and the tests and the waiting.

Today I am surrounded by the generousity of one wealthy family. My lounge is covered in soft toys, dolls, beautiful books, plastic animals, assorted toys, baking sets and dolls house furniture, pretty bags and teddys, it looks like a toy shop. Im about to sort with my daughter Xmas pressies for the orphans and families I helped last yr, all the rest will be boxed for families my courier helps whos fathers are in prison. Again I am overwhelmed with awe at the goodness of God. Hes come through for me on another level. Showing me how much he is in the details and loves people. He is a good God.
A local fund raising group have requested I speak to them soon. Another opportunity he has provided.

While driving home from work this morning I was thinking about hoe God is the God of the breakthrough.. How we can breakthrough in prayer and sometimes its can take a while. I asked my self what is it that brings this or at what point did I change in my thinking and attitude and knowledge.. and I think I learnt this principle we would as a team fast/pray and believe and then wait then watch the Lord deliver us into a new area of understanding. This may not be making any sense to anyone but thats ok cz Im still thinking about it....

This will be my 3rd trip. Im so excited to see them again. Since I began this in 09, God has been so good to me. Ive had 3 pay rises, a promotion @ work, every area of my life he looks after and now I am able to save. Each yr the giving has increased and more people help me. I descided not to have my own charity because of the huge cost to set it up and it would have taken away the joy it gives me and those who give with me. Everytime there is a need the need is met. Remember the 4 orphans I picked up last yr well they wrote me a funny letter. The eldest is 13yr, youngest is 2. Lost both parents within a month of each other. The eldest wrote to thank me for the clothes and chrissy gifts. Very formal letter, obviously the aunt she lives with helped her write it. I felt an xtra peice of paper in the envelope folded up tiny, oh I thought a pic...it was written by Tio and she said.
This is a list of wht we like. {I probably asked what they would like this xmas} 1. Me a computor or a mobile phone 2. Ben 10 and power rangers for my brothers. 3. A barbie doll and a lollie for my sister.
At first I roared with laughter at her gumption. I still laugh. I havent answered her letter yet. I will have to tell her gently that I dont have that kind of money, [for the pc], I dont know how to tell her they are in a long line of others....but will believe and Im sure can manage the other requests. Jehovah Jirah my provider.
Its all fun. It has changed my life.

hey crissy you found it. Its a lot of fun doing business with God. I had another lady @ work offer me toys. He brings people along at the time I need stuff. I dont have to try hard I just try to obey and give. I actually dont tell many people what I am doing, but sometimes the convo leads that way and usually when that happens that person ends up giving clothing or books or toys. It is so easy. He is great. Oh one thing happened the school fees doubled this yr and I had told the head that I couldnt afford it but would give my word for the amount I paid for the 50 orphans last yr..well guess what. In the last couple of months I had unexpected needs for other people I know close to me here, airfares bz of family deaths and new clothes etc and helped them and prayed Lord please make sure I have enough when its time for my trip back. Well I have enough to pay the full amount so Im paying double..Im soo stoked with gratitude. Nothing can compare with this kind of joy.. and just to see their smiling faces twill be bliss. Im taking my daughter and she is worried about how she will cope seeing the poverty..I know God will touch her bz he already has many times just with my stories. I tell my story not because of pride but because he lead me to give myself out of poverty and I want others to know it can be done but also how faithful he is to helping us and others when we obey in this area.

I need to start checking this board more! I tend to go right past it. I'm excited to hear about your trip--will be praying that it goes well. Im surrounded by stuff....packing that is....Im excited too might even go to a church there, there is a choice ..hmm ..decisions decisons, trouble is..ah naw Il let my daughter choose. Oh something wqonderful happened since last yr all our fasting and prayer broke down the walls between the denominations and they have fellowship together now..They used to ignore each other and slander each other b4. God also dealt to the witchdoctors!!! People were popping off from the WD curses. Ya cant tell me he isnt powerful or hear our cries for help. Dunno if I will be able to get on here while Im away crissy. Take care . Dont know if I told you how last time at the school I was honored at the mens table, and mistook the nutty headmaster for a clowning teacher. HE proposed to me and said I could be his 2nd wife, the women were horrified...I dont him I dont believe in being 2nd best. I sat for over an hour telling them my stories of Gods provision and goodness. We all fell in love... oh that looks so bad wht I mean is the women were enthralled too. When Gods love is shed abroad in our hearts it touches peoples lives. crissy you are not snow are you? I havent seen here forever..miss her

no--I'm not Snow--I miss her too! I had several really good conversations with her in chat. I wonder what happened to her.... Your trip is really coming together--you are blessed!!! I really laughed at the story of the man who wanted you for a second wife too funny! Once when I was in Paris, a Saudi offered to buy me (!) I was in an elevator with my brother--who started seriously negotiating (I was about 15 at the time--perfect age for a Saud!) (and apparently they love blondes...) Traveling gives people the best stories. You have fun and take care!

LOL ..yes very funny.,
IT was a wonderful holiday, not long enough the first week kept falling asleep. Discovered I have many friends, was inspired to write a book when he gave me the title. Both my courier J and I had the same revelation about direction for the next 12 months. I have a friend who says...'if he leads you to it he will lead you through it and after the 1yr where I was finding my way I believe in faith to reach out for the provision because I know if he has called he will provide. The next step is on the other side of the mainland, have also been told and invited to come meet families on other islands.
God has a sense of humour. I rarely will ask my courier does he have a finanial need but felt inspired b4 I left and he said yes so was able to give him a gift from one of my friends. Id been paid and had more giving in the bank so when I was saying good bye I asked J, how much money do you need? HE was relucatant to answer, I told him comeon Im sure God has a surprise and so I boldly asked how much do you earn? HE told me and my heart felt squeezed, because he looks after a large number of family in one house. He explained that when business is low their wages drop to half..and in the next couple of wks they will drop and explained why. I began to giggle as I slid the envelope across the table and told him 'here is your next 2wks wages..he beamed at me and we both laughed at Gods goodness. He was given an extra $10 each of the 2 wks more than his normal pay....'he said this has to be God'..I said how can you doubt it with tears of joy in my eyes. God knew how much he needed. There is so much more I could tell you but will hold it back for the book.
Oh he cooked us a traditional feast and told me how all week he was wanting fresh fish and the fishermen had not brought any too the island, he kept praying for God to bring him one because wanted to make a traditional dish,he exhausted the usual suppliers and only had frozen he didnt want to use. J hadnt put the food in the ground and still nothing late sunday arvo, then he goes bk to his quarters and B arrives with a huge fish he had just caught so was able to cook it for us.... Delicious!!

This is fun...he opens the doors. He speaks to the hearts of the people. He opens ears to hear what the holy spirit is saying. I could not do this alone without him. I give him the glory for all he accomplishes. He makes people smile and shows them he cares when we are obedient. In return I have inner joy and peace that I havent recieved any other way.. You cannot tell me he isnt real and relevant. I now know what the abundant life as a christian is. Heard it preached about many many times but never knew experiencailly.

Shushy,
I so appreciated all of your posts. I'm struggling with giving -- after being raised in the 2x2 way where it just wasn't done -- and being raised without much $$ (by US standards anyway).
Hearing about your experiences is very helpful to me. I have my Christian friends telling me too of how over and over again they have God move them to help someone -- then find themselves being rewarded in ways they hadn't expected. My friend Kari the other day gave $10 to a homeless man so he could get supper and went without supper herself-- only to change clothes when she got home and pull a $10 bill, folded exactly the same way as the one she had given the stranger, out of her pants pocket.
I want that kind of faith -- that when God moves me to give -- I do, trusting Him that He will provide.
My daughter was moved at a Newsboys concert to sponser a little girl in Nigeria. She's only 9 years old (my daughter), so it is coming out of our account monthly...and I haven't missed the $$ at all. So, we're starting on this journey with God...I would just like to jump into it full force the way you have.
