Having arrived at the tail end of the "Michigan incident" is there someone out there who would be willing to post a concise, chronological (loosely), bulletized summary of events start to finish?
Thanks in advance

It may have happened. She said it did. He said it did not. They said the girls are to blame. They said the workers are to blame. She said they are. He said they are. She said they are not. He said she is. They said they were but are not. The other they said they are not. They said the other they did. He said they did. And on it goes.
And they all lived happily ever after . . except for a few he's.

fissure...you have certainly got the "concise" thing down to a fine art.

I think if all the facts were known it would be even more difficult.

I'm totally not qualified to take on this task, but I HAVE followed it as closely as possible because of a personal interest in it, so I'll give it a shot. Anyone feel free to correct or add. * MI convention preps 2007 -- two twins, almost 18, came to a sister worker(s?) and claimed they had been abused (sexually?) At some point they said that all of the siblings - all adopted - had been abused. There were 4 others, quite a bit younger than those two. * Authorities were informed - someone else help with when and by whom? * All children removed from home * Investigation began, hearings held * Parents entered plea of "no contest" to abuse charges * Investigation discovered some degree of abuse, parents attended education sessions, eventually younger children were returned to parents' home * The twins, now 18, chose not to return and continued to list abusers. I believe at this time they were in the custody of 2 sister workers * Eventually, the list became so long, a judge called a halt. * More hearings, charges of false accusations filed against twins * Twins were found not competent to stand trial and placed under psychological care in an institution * After they were able to have a hearing, one twin entered a guilty plea (? not sure how that went down) but the other held out for some weeks * I did miss just how the 2nd twin's hearing went... did she enter a plea like her sister's? * Anyway, presently, I believe they are confined to living with court-appointed caretakers - is that right? "And that's all I'll say about that" (maybe)

I was using the word custody loosely. I think it was their choice to live there.

* I did miss just how the 2nd twin's hearing went... did she enter a plea like her sister's? * Anyway, presently, I believe they are confined to living with court-appointed caretakers - is that right? There was no criminal procedure, only a admittance of lying by one twin and no contest to lying from the other twin. (Didn't find the quote, but) After their plea's, the one who admitted guilt when back to her parents and the one who plead no contest stayed where she had been prior to her plea (bondsman). The other big issue that emy didn't touch on is that some (if not all) of the accused think that someone else was behind the later accusations (not involving their siblings/parents). And there had been talk/posts of filing a civil suit to ? prove that point.

Fixed an uncertainty in my op to prevent misconceptions.

Not all accused peoples' names been cleared yet, I don't think....I think it'll take a civil suit to clear things for them all. JMO
