Ignore User (TMB feature)You must be logged in to use the "Ignore" feature. 1) Cookies must be enabled. When the cache(temp files, cookies, etc.) is deleted, the ignore list is deleted also. 2) The ignore list is tied to the user/computer. 3) If the user goes to another computer the ignore list will have to be set up on that system as well. 4) Each user account may have its own ignore list. The "Ignore" feature allows you to block posts from a particular user. You will still see a line that indicates the existence of a post from the user, but you will not see the contents of the post. You can ignore or stop ignoring a user at any time. - Click on the user name you wish to ignore (in the left column next to the post).
- In the user's profile, click on Ignore (in the right column above the member bio and list of most recent posts).
- To stop ignoring a user and read his/her posts and PMs, click on the user name next to a blocked post to access the user profile. From the profile, click on Stop Ignoring.
Access and edit your user profile(TMB feature)Your user profile contains your user name, display name, gender, and options for signature, avatar, and time zone. There is a shortcut to your profile at the top of the page, just below the line that says, "Hey, user, you have 10 messages, 0 are new." Click on profile (next to logout). Then click on Modify Profile to view/change options. Blocking Images, Avatars, Signatures (TMB feature)Why would you want to block images? - privacy (prevent your IP address from showing up in the access logs from a specific website)
- content (you just don't like the pictures)
- download rate (slow internet connection)
How to block images, avatars, and/or signatures on TMB: - Access your user profile
- Click on Modify Profile
- Scroll down to Account Preferences
- Change desired options
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and click the "Modify Profile" button on the left

To change the skin (colours) of your page: Go to your Modify Profile page and find the skin selection. Change it to the other skin. Here are the steps: - At the top of the page, click on the profile button. It looks like this:
- click on "Modify Profile"
- Make sure both Password boxes are blank. Scroll down the page until you find the setting for "Select Skin"
- Set it to "Modified Original"
- Scroll down and click on the "Modify Profile" button. At this point you should be seeing the original color scheme.
- Send a PM to the administrator and tell him to hurry-up-with-the-improvements-around-here-we've-been-waiting-long-enough.

If you are having trouble accessing TMB because the main page keeps refreshing, try typing the address directly into your browser. professing.proboards.comThe "refresh" issue is a Proboards problem. It seems to happen when people use their Internet Explorer bookmarks or favorites to access the board. It might be related to upgrading from IE 7.0 to IE 8.0. support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=supportSpread the word if your TMB buddies can't log in or access the forums. Unfortunately they won't be able to read this message!

Is there a setting that allows people to be emailed when they receive a PM in their inbox?Yes, although I didn't know until I started looking. Go up to the top of your screen and click on your messages, which takes you to your in-box of PM's. On the very far right of your PM's, there is 'preferences'. Click on that. You will see 'notification' where you can set it to where you get an email when someone sends you a PM. I just set mine! Scott

Search hint: use the Google search box at the bottom of the message board page. (Be sure to select "professing.proboards.com" instead of "Web".) It works much better than the proboards search at the top of the page.

Time zones and DST settings are in your profile.
At the top of the page, click Profile, then Modify Profile. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the profile settings for time and date display settings.

Two users on the same device? Try setting different skins for each person's profile. At the top of the page, click on profile. Then click Modify Profile. Scroll down to "Select Skin". The default skin is yellow. "Fresh Blue" is purple/blue depending on your monitor. Try the others at your own risk.

TRY "SCOTTY'S EYE-POPPER" You'll know which one is yours..... no problem! I actually use the "Cool Shades" and like it. Maybe I should make up one for Halloween and set it as the default and get everyone mad at me..... Ha!!
