Anyone here an altered book artist? I'm just researching...desiring to learn...for a term project.

Great site rational!! Thank you! I've been doing a little work on my project, although I'm creating a "bookwork," or type of book rather than an altered one. I plan to explore the art of altering books though. My "book" is actually a rectangular box that gives the impression of being a door. Inside, I am using the images of doors I collected from Israel to make a "Jacob's Ladder." Have you seen that childrens' toy? Anyway, thanks so much for your suggestion. I found another site that I love too. A Jewish woman uses buttons to create art....another idea that I've had rollin' around in my head! She does book altering also. lisakokin.com/Blessings, Linda
