European scandals I presume! Should we specify the country or not?

Not unless we want to exclude folks from coming along - it's a "bring your own", remember

Is there a statute of limitations? I mean, if my scandle is 20 years old and the scandleer (did I just make up a word?) long dead, is it still a valid scandle?

Are we talking about rehashing old scandals, or creating a venue in which we can collaborate to establish some brand new scandals? I kind of like that latter idea. Can I join? I have some leather, chains, cuffs, and a riding crop -- all good props for a scandal pot luck!

I'm afraid Gene that I lead a very boring life so I can't contribute anything to establish brand new scandals. Oh by the way, I didn't know you were a horseman!....

Oh, but it would be a team project. And to create a great new scandal, someone needs to bring a healthy dose of innocence - that could be you! I'll bring my horse

Pilsbury makes a GREAT homemade pie crust. It's in the dairy section, two come in a box, folded in quarters. They are lovely. Hmmmm..... how about filling it with coconut cream with a nicely browned meringue on top?

Well I have had success with the Pillsbury pie crusts before. but sorry Gene I don't have good luck with meringue. How about a fresh strawberry pie? Oh before I forget, I don't think a potluck is a good place to bring the horse LOL Gem You are one cool dude Gene

No Pillsbury this side of the Atlantic ... so how about I just nip down to the cake shop ... there's a splendid little one down in town and I can never have enough excuses to visit it.
I'm thinking ... some fresh cream strawberry pavlova (the individual ones), a chocolate gateau (or 2 ... or 3), maybe some plum cake ...oh and definitely some baked cheesecake (chocolate?) ... plus some chocolate eclairs ... We might need to make some decisions with the chocolate cakes- chocolate or plain sponge ? chocolate mousse somewhere? cherries or something in the middle? liqueur or no liqueur ? chocolate icing over top or just plain cream?
oh and what about some savory stuff? they do a lovely little thing that looks like a sausage roll except it's filled with either meat, or pickled cabbage and mushrooms.
for afters we could have some of those little cookies made with meringue and coconut (drat it but my fingers kept typing chocolate), or the crispy seeds/nuts concoction or a plain chocolate shortbread ...
and coffee, of course.
any takers?
/c
