Marital breakdown, separation and divorce is rife in England right now. Reportedly there were 10 people at Uttoxeter convention recently separated (like within the last 2 years) and quite a lot at Wantage too
without mentioning names
But predominantly B&R people in their 20s and 30s, generally married less than 10 years, and sometimes involving persons not of English nationality
the workers are in panic mode
Worker P Jackson at Wantage Convention. Keynote speaker, Saturday morning. Main theme : "Be doorkeepers, as in the days of Nehemiah guarding the city gates of Jerusalem. Don't let strangers over your threshold of your heart or homes. Dont let them sit at your table. Friends! Keep business people at your office but don't let them in your houses. They might even steal your wives......."

"rife" is a blatent overdramatisation.
There's no evidence that its any worse now than before, nor worse here than elsewhere.

What IS evident is that there are more separations than were permitted by workers in the past. There has been, in England, a great deal of cruelty behind closed doors. Women were always preached into submission therefore they were expected to put up with abuse, gross misconduct and conditions that would not be tolerated in the outside world. Women obey your husbands in the Lord was implemented without the Lord. This still goes for some. As recently as last December workers were preaching this from their little platforms. Workers, you have a lot to answer for!

To Ball and Chain, The same people go to several conventions these days so it is harder to guess numbers of couples in difficulties from your post.
It is inevitable that couples within the fellowship will have similar difficulties to those in any other walk of life, don't you think?

and...............with respect, the brother worker mentioned is hardly one to help matters given his past history.
