Hi everyone I'm putting out a call for other parents to share any of your kids favourite recipes. I have 3 little ones... and just trying to keep things a bit interesting for the whole family! So if you have a recipe you don't mind sharing... I would be very grateful for them Vianne.

I have a recipe called Popover Pizza - an easy homemade pizza - and also Pizza Noodle Bake and Potato Pizza. (My kids liked pizza, eh?) Macaroni and cheese was usually a big hit, along with plain old chili. I can give you my recipes if thsi is the sort of thing you are interested in.

Tater-tot casserole is yummy! How about English Muffin Pizza? Split English Muffins in half- Pizza sauce first, Mozarella cheese next, then whatever toppings you like. Bake at 350 in oven for about 10-20 minutes depending how crispy you like them! Gem To Zoot-I would like to try your recipe Popover Pizza - could you please print it? Thanks

On another thread (I do not remember which one) Cherie wrote to you that she had a recipe for chocolate cake with chocolate icing-----that was the "BEST". I was wondering if she posted that recipe somewhere and I just missed it. I love chocolate cake with chocolate icing and I would like to copy the recipe also if that is OK.
Thanks-----A TMB READER

As far as I know, Cherie hasn't posted the recipe. Let me find the thread and ask her to post the recipe. Thread was on the main board. Sounds scrumptious!
I can let you know on this thread where and when she posts it--how's that!

I'll vouch for tater tot hotdish, too. Wonder if people in other places than midwest USA know what tater tots are? Here are a couple other suggestions for kid veggie recipes: Crockpot Stuffed Cabbage, Broccoli Casserole, Gren Beans Caesar, Sweet Potato (yam?) Casserole.
Popover Pizza
1# ground burger - ground turkey works 1 onion - size to your taste Brown burger and onion together 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce 1/4 c chopped green pepper 1 sm can mushrooms with juice 2T flour 1 1/2 tsp pizza seasoning Mix together and boil to thicken sauce somewhat - can be done in the burger. Then pour burger and sauce into 9x13 pan. Cover with -- 6 oz mozzarella
Crust: 2 eggs 1 T oil 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 c milk Beat until smooth. Pour over cheese and meat. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Bake at 350 for 25-30 min - until golden and puffy.
Serves 6 Freezes well (probably bake first?)

Thanks everyone! I'll try and reply and give some more info... Rob O... you'll get an e-noodle whipping yourself for even suggesting my kids have those food types!! ;D LOL! A few family recipes that the kids love so far is: Chicken Enchiladas Apricot chicken 3 vege and meat Shepherds Pie Lasagna 3 vege and meat Pasta bake 3 vege and meat Savoury mince and macaroni cheese I guess I'm looking for more variations/tastes hot dishes are great... and really love food that can be made in advance and frozen. The popover pizza, english muffin pizza (yummo!!) and pizza noodle bake all sound so delish so thanks! We make our own pizza's at home here too... it's definitely a fave in this household and I look forward to trying new ways! Hey Rob... Now we have to get a recipe! This 3 vege and meat must be a big hit, so give us the recipe. Also, what is savoury mince? Here's the Pizza Noodle Bake recipe -- Pizza Noodle Bake 1 pound hamburger chopped onion to taste 2 c noodles 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce 1 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. oregano pepper to taste 4 slices mozzarella cheese Brown beef and onions. Put noodles in 9x9 pan. Tops with meat/onion mixture Mix tomato sauce, water and spices together and pour over meat and noodles. Bake 1 hour @ 350, covered. Lay cheese slices on top during last 10 minutes and continue baking, covered.

Forgot to make note that the noodles go in the pan dry, not cooked.

Here's one of my pizza recipes. I have no idea about quantities. For the base I just use pita pocket bread. Spread BBQ sauce over them. Fry up diced onion, red capsicum and bacon. Put that aside. Pan fry diced chicken until brown then add Keens Mild Indian Curry powder - it has no bite but plenty of flavour. Stir it on the heat so chicken is evenly flavoured then set aside. Spead the onion, capsicum and bacon mix over the bases. Spead the chicken over the base. Spread diced fresh tomato over and then drizzle sparingly with BBQ sauce. Spread mozza cheese. Sprinkle on mixed or Italian herbs. Grill till cheese is brown. Ps. No, Vianne! I refuse to give up the secrets to my caramel pavlova!!! This is for suggesting such a thing.... ;D ;D

thanks for posting the url, SG, in the USA, the capsicum pepper, is the same pepper as the ''cayene pepper'' , it is relatively HOT/spicy , but not as hot as habenero peppers, and yes they are red over here , too! In the USA, we have green bell peppers, and red bell peppers, also, which are quite tasty , but not at all spicy hot , as the capsicum peppers.
