There is an interesting bulletin on here titled ONE TRUE WAY...I also thought it was funny how the leader girl posted her religion as Taoist? yet she is the leader of the professing kidz group...very interesting to say the least? but they seem like nice kids...but to publicly claim you are the only true way...then your webpage looks pretty "wordly" and there is little if anything about God/Jesus/salvation posted on their sites...Just an observation, not a judgement. (:

Kathy....thank you very much for calling me a TROLL. LOL. FYI-I am just as lovely as yourself and also have blonde hair, but I do live near a bridge, but one would hardly call me a TROLL. (: I am 5'5" 125 lbs, blonde blue eyes. I dont think my husband thinks I am a TROLL, but thank you for sharing your opinions of me. Have a lovely week! God bless your steps. (:

Times are changing in the group, it seems. I was alarmed at the absence of spiritual references, with a few exceptions that were dedicated to defending 'truth' in various confusing ways.. I was not favorably impressed. If the goal is to interact with the world, it is a sucess. If it is to promote the Workers religion,well.....

::)Dear bowhunter, yes, that was my observation exactly what you stated, they do blend in very well, and as a public display of your life as a Truther and as a light hardly a good display, I thought it was rather interesting observation. Thanks for sharing your opinion on this as well.
Best regards,

I too, have also noticed the professing kidz on myspace, their websites are intersting but not exactly spiritual. I imagine they are like any other teen or young people group, their site focusing on get togethers, who is going to what convention and social activities. All normal for teens and young people who want to hook up or make new friends of the opposite sex. Nothing spiritual, although once in a while they attempt to share "bread" from meetings, but the biggest posts are about what convention each of them is going to be at. You can tell from their posts that they are more excited to see their friends at convention that to get spiritually fed. I guess that is to be expected.

The girl that posted her religion as Taoist did it as a joke. She didn't even know what it was. (She reports this in a thread on the group's board.)
Not coming at this in judgement at all, but rather an observation. Most of these professing "kids" (mostly teens and early 20's) do not post much about religion on their personal pages. It's usually confined to merely stating they are Christian in their basic profile. And, many of the girls post pictures with quite a bit of make-up and party clothing.
What strikes me is that these were the girls that were very respected at convention and known as "the good ones". Many of these girls were the ones my parents hoped I would form bonds and friendships with... hoping I would conform to their uber-conservative style and attend the many, many, many get togethers they did (even though they were several years younger than myself).
I find it a bit humorous that these are the girls that now are doing some of the things I did, exploring, or even rebelling, as they go through college. When I posted some photos with me in party clothing (jeans and a dressy strapless top) long, long ago on my personal website, it was a HUGE ordeal among the friends far and wide. Now, few even blink an eye at it.

Hello,
I used to post to the group. Yes, it was a very interesting observation that the leader of the board posted and said she was a taoist. Many on the site brought this to her attention. Also, there was a comment on her page about lesbian acts from one of her friends. Which was also brought to her attention by those who post to the site. It was said that these things were wrong for any Christian person. Even if it was just a joke. It is doubly wrong when you claim to be representing the only right way on earth.
I any matter. Those who raised concerns who wanted the members to keep their pages clean, and represent a Christian life style. We were told by many on the board that it was a place for friends (as in members of friends and workers) to come together were they could BE THEMSELVES. At this point many of the members made their profiles private, so only those on their friends list could view their pages. BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO BE THEMSELVES. Obviously from this I got the impression that what they really are, would be offensive to the majority of Christians and therefor they no longer wanted people to be able to look at their pages.
I no longer post to the group.
GO FIGURE!!!!!!!

One more thing The moderator of the board refused to change her religious preference from taoist.
It was easier to make her site in accessible then to change her religious preference to Christians!!!!!

GO FIG Maybe she does not practice any relligion, she just goes to meetings once in a wihle to see her childhood freinds. Mosst of the professing kids are no different than anyone else, they have not really give their life to christ, they just belong to the group becuase that is how they were raised. When I was a teen in the truth church most of the professing kids were having premarital sex and drinking parties all the time. (this was the late 80's). Some were "good" but most of them were no different than the worldlings.

We were worse than the world because we were sneaky and self righteous. We did the same things as the worldly kids but didn't want people to know the truth about us.

They also have some groups on face book...
323 Youth - - Created First
Only for those which are professing with about 8 moderators... Private group must be approved to join. You must be going to meeting and conventions and professing.... This group is for anybody on Facebook that is professing or coming to meetings or conventions. You'll know if this is for you or not. =)
I want to remind EVERYBODY that anybody going to meeting or conventions or anybody professing is welcome in this group, and if you know of people who are but aren't in this group, please let them know about it, and have them request to join, or ask one of the administrators to invite them. The more the merrier!
I really love how much this group has grown. I really feel that it is very unifying to get to know all of you, and I hope that all of you are getting as much out of it as I am. =)
And
Professing Kids and thats the Truth - - Created Later
Open to all for discussion Do not need to be approved to join....
Hello! This group was created to: *Post any special thoughts that you might have *Meet other professing kids from everywhere *Post get-togethers or convention information *Discuss fun OR serious topics in a mature fasion:) *Post general concerns or questions **Keep in mind this is an OPEN group, so you can invite anyone to join...everyone, even non-group members can see the posts:)
Surprisingly, it wasn't long after being created that a worker joined and said that perhaps there should only be one group, and this group should be CLOSED!!!!
Hello I'm Adam Marx from Wisconsin. I'm one of the workers in the Milwaukee field so if anyone is passing through that area let me know. I just wanted to tell everyone that there's another group for this purpose called 323youth. I wonder if anyone would have any objection to there being only one group for the professing kids. Some people will otherwise be bound to join one group or the other and not realize that their are two groups and therefore we'll meet fewer people. anyway state your opinion and whatever.
ADAM MARX
- I get the impression that perhaps meeting fewer people is not the reason. Why would that be a problem. You would think if there is two group, you would eventually find out about both of them... and meet even more people....

Facebook is the preferred method for young professing folks to communicate these days. They find Facebook more functional and intuitive than mySpace.
I think that some of the criticisms here of the young people's use of these sites are unwarranted. Let's face it, young people have a huge need for social contact and that's what these sites are all about. The fact that the sites don't sound like mini-meetings or Christian cheerleading is because that is not their function.

And YET Here you are on a board full of ex 2 by 2's ISn't that the pot calling the kettle black What hypocrisy... Not quite; that'd be like me saying "No practicing Jew should eat non-Kosher foods" while at the same time, eating a pork sausage. My understanding of someone else's taboos dosen't imply that I, myself believe in them. Therefore, my non-compliance to their rules dosen't make me a hypocrite, but their non-compliance to their own rules makes them a hypocrite.

There's no rules about mySpace or Facebook, so you guys are both tilting at windmills. There are no "rules" against spending your evenings in taverns, playing poker and drinking, either. There are no "rules" against going to Las Vegas and spending your vacation in the casinos....There are no "rules" against playing baseball or going fishing on Wednesday nights instead of going to a meeting.... Everyone must be tilting at windmills. Active imaginations, and all.....
