Does anyone know if Christians have ever won the lottery? Or is this an "evil" God protects his people from? I have never known or heard of anyone believing in God to win. Just asking to see if I should stop wasting my money buying tickets.

How is the lottery evil? I'm sure that plenty of christians/god believers have won the lottery. I won $4 off of 2 $1 lotto tickets a friend gave me for graduation. But, then again, I'm not a Christian/god believer. Stop buying if you feel it is a waste of money, or your conscience bothers you about it. follow your gut feelings. andy

What kind of Christians do you mean?
If you mean Christians in general then your question is too wide. Some Christiand may thinnk that the Lottery is akin to betting which in biblical terms is wrong. Others may do the lottery. I know some people who are Hindu and muslem sho will not do the lottery.
If you mean professing 2X2 Christians I know some workers who would not commit to a view when asked. Others sited the put not your money out to usery verse in scripture.
I know some 2X2 s who would and others who wouldn't .

Used to think the lottery was just a stupidity tax. Now, I think it's a good, cheap dream, and we all need dreams. I don't know if any believers have won the lottery, but I bet they all believe in God after they win.

I know of an ex 2x2 who won a modest (100K or so) amount on the lottery. He was a 2x2 at the time, but whether he's a Christian or not, I have no idea.

were the winnings too much for him that he left the 2x2 system? Maybe the workers discourage buying lottery tickets and going into casinos because its too tempting to waste $$ on such things. Then if you did win, it would change you for the wrong reasons.

should you win . Just remember the first 10% goes to charity and the rest belongs to the Lord anyway , as the cattle on a thousand hills

A 2x2 once won a lot of money in the Reader's Digest sweepstakes. Don't know if she got into trouble or not. It was in Ohio.

All it takes is about 250,000.00 bucks and one can sit on that collecting interest depending upon where you live you could actually survive on the Interest

I've never won, but then I've never played. Always figured if I won a million bucks, that would have to mean about 2 million people bet and lost. Not my kinda odds.
Inlaws do like to go to the casinos, and we've gone with them and can enjoy playing the slots--but have $20 dollar limit, but can usually make that last for a couple of hours. But I look at that as entertainment, not as a chance to win big.

i can't remember, but i can tell you this much, it was either a tues or a fri, because the lotto numbers are drawn on wed and sat in california.....
