answer: (no-name) Actually if you read carefully, I agreed with part of Edgars post.
Maybe you have a dead horse problem too?

You did not agree with anything Edgar wrote until you got called on it.
My problem is those who cannot discuss things open and honestly without parsing every clause and word. If that is a dead horse to you, then so be it - you are a dead horse.

"My problem is those who cannot discuss things open and honestly.."
I see, so I'm not honest, and I don't discuss openly? Isn't this board about discussing things? Discussion evolves with various posts, just as it does in conversation. If you don't like it, you're entitled to your opinion (as I am to mine)

Someone noted to me that Lars Lund is actually related to Ichabod Crane.

eurp,
Twice in one thread you have responded to only the clause or phrase of your choice in an attempt to dismiss the ENTIRE comment. Thus you did not respond without parsing.

In your latest post you omitted to post enough for me to parse on. Please post more next time so that I can choose only part to respond to in an attempt to dismiss the entire post.
In fact I note that you too are falling into this habit, in dismissing my posts only on this topic of parsing.

The bold text "without parsing" is what you failed to respond to. You only responded to the text leading up to those words, as if those words were the entirety of what I said. By omitting "without parsing" in your reply, you changed the meaning of my words to something I did not say.
Care to try again?

I'm not sure how you think you're dragging it out, you didn't make that clear.

eurp, until you respond to reply #29 in its entirety, this sub-thread is meaningless. I'm tired of playing your game. Maybe you're seeking "troll" status. Good luck. You're certainly getting there.

Reply #30 was a reply to #29. If you didn't like the reply what can I do? Change my opinions to suit you? No, I've stated mine. If language is a problem and I don't make myself clearly understood then I apologise. If you just disagree with what I say, or refuse to agree with what you say, then I do not apologise, thats just how life is. People do not all hold the same opinions. While I disagreed with part of what was posted by Edgar, and said so, I did not disagree with another part, and said that too. You seem quite concerned about this "parsing" (more normaly used in computer language than in this form in my experience), as you put it. That concern seem to border on pedanticism.

Reply #35 vividly points out eurp's nathanesque manners here. It shows that reply #30 only responds to a part of #29 and in doing so changed the meaning of #29.

Nate I'm afraid that you are the one I should ignore. This person seems to think that I evade responding to things, or addressing issues directly, but as far as I see you actually deserve that reputation.

Sometimes I can be a bit too blunt , but you do evade questions a lot.
