I hear he got Hep B and became sick. He went to California I believe to live with relatives.

"Is not the Bactrian related to the Dromadery ? And the gracious Caribou to the mighty Elk ? So too then, are two of a name in some way kindred ! Is this not seen in the way a Beaver builds its lodge ?"

I know Ben was out in CA when Eldon was so ill. There were others of the clan out there for some time. Had not heard that Ben had a health problem. Can't remember what was said, but it wasn't health on this site some time ago.

I'm amused at the reference to the 'clan' as I guess I'm kind of a member of it, but I'll post this much about my uncle, Ben Tenniswood. He needs your prayers as much as anyone does, and he is one fabulous cook. Beyond that, if you want to know more about him, look me up, I'll get you in contact with him, and you can ask him. I'm easy to find, in yahoo, phone book, whatever.

Bruce - Don't take the word "clan" as I used it in a bad way. I meant "relatives". I know Ben personally and hope the best for him in whatever way. I know that a niece that was in the midwest as a worker was part of the "clan" with ET, herself having cancer and passed away also. Just want you to know, it was a positive use of the word.

Thanks guest5 for the reply. I have read these posts for several years now, and it has been interesting how there are a few families, mine included, that get referred to, well, differently. I don't take offence to it, but rather find humor in it in some sad, demented way. Most of the reference seems to come from a common opinion that we're all somehow little ET's! I, of all people, can find alot of humor in that opinion, being named after him and all! Oh well, thanks anyway for the reply and the feeling behind it.

hey Bruce--can understand your feelings. I spent my teen years as a close friend of Glen and Karen and to a lesser extent Ben. Glen and Debbie stood by me through a very dark period and for that I'm eternally gratefull. Glen and I still have contact a few times a year even though I've been ex'ed for more than 20 years. I really lurk these boards to find news about people I know and have affection for--no bitterness--I'm gone and won't be back. Had good times-but bad times predominate--but that's life. Had a sibling in the "work" I know what it meant to be a sibling of a worker---can't imagine what it was to be a "Tenniswood"!!! Although, if I were so inclined I could tell "stories" about some of them!!!
I can't really place you in my mind--I'm sure we met--but them I'm getting old.
Ben is in my prayers and thoughts

Is Lillian Tenniswood still alive? She was in our field 15-20 years ago.

I believe I saw her name on some California convention speaking lists that are going around. Someone can correct me if I am wrong and I am sure they will.
