My comments may be of no importance but here is one thing I would hope we could do more of. The workers have in recent years have not reached out to the public as they did decades ago. Let's see if we can have more reporting on where gospel missions are and their success. Cherie Kropp's book gives a long history of that and it was very inspiring. Maybe workers can do more of that in the future. I agree wholeheartedly with christiansburg, it would be nice to have workers contributing on TMB with meeting news and views. BUT... Fat chance of any normal workers contributing on TMB with the preponderance of the atheists who have taken over TMB in recent months. Fair enough, some of them are worth listening to. But reading the recent atheist threads, they appear to be "hunting in numbers", shouting down any Christian views. Some of them ooze an arrogant self confidence that they alone have the understanding and vision of the world that us poor, weak Christians (or people of any faith, for that matter) lack. I do wonder if many are not desperately seeking an assurance from their weight of numbers in the atheist beliefs they now profess. It's a pity, if there wasn't such an arrogant and disparaging tone, many of their arguments and questions they raise are worthwhile. I doubt the administrators and moderators can do much to fix this trend, so personally I don't find much point in keeping TMB going. And I haven't even got to Nathan, yet! It's a shame, because if the workers are strong enough then they should trust in God to give them a mouth to speak and they wouldn't worry about the atheists or what they say. I would love to hear more from the workers and the friends on here, because that's why I came here, to meet them. I'd like to hear how they see the Bible and what they see and hear when they read it. And talk about the things of God. I never look down on anyone, we don't know who God is looking at. I have hope for everyone, so I speak and leave the judgement in God's hands and he is judging all of us including me too. 😊

Wally is a Go-to-Meeting professing man who may be the most prolific poster here. (Although he has been oddly quiet for a few days.) I recommend that you look at his posts. Workers come and go. Sometimes they are helpful, sometimes they are extremely disruptive. (Review005, for example viciously attacked some of the professing people posting here.) The long-time worker I'm aware of here on TMB keeps a low profile. I appreciate his occasional "likes". Consider the possibility that it is not safe for workers and friends to be known by the "Higher Powers" to be participants on TMB. IMO, Atheists are scapegoated. IMO, some of the Christians who complain the most about atheists being arrogant and disparaging cannot recognize the same in their own posts. Telling atheists they are "fools", for example, is just quoting the Bible, after all, so it's perfectly ok! Preaching at atheists isn't insulting, it's just showing concern for their "souls". Declaring that the "creation" proves there is a creator God (theirs, of course) isn't a personal belief, it is the obvious, inarguable truth. Even admin weighs in at this level. Yeah, some of us push back. As the old adage goes, don't dish it out if you can't take it. Some Christians would do well to recognize how they dish it out. One glaring difference, IMO, between atheists and Christians who post here, is there is little to no "in-fighting" among the atheists. We tend to back each other up. Harmonize. Can you imagine?? Go into a discussion among a variety of Christians and drop the word "trinity". Just a few of my thoughts.

I have thought about this thread off and on and it seems to me that TMB could be streamlined. There are far too many sub-boards. These could be reduced to three: Christian mythology Nathan mythology Science. (The Truth or what can be verified so far) Those christians with different points of views could argue the toss on the christian board. I have no interest anymore on whether their god is a triplet or a sextuplet so have no desire to participate in those discussions. Making Nathan keep his mythology on his own sub-board would benefit him immensely. using the view and reply function he would be able to see how many readers really care about his mythology. For those interested in the truth about our existence we could have good discussions about astronomy, geology, chemistry, botany and biology and physics without being interrupted by people abusing and threatening with hellfire and damnation or claiming that the creation is evidence of a creator. They ought to be too busy discussing on which Sunday the first christian meeting was held by a bunch of Jews. regards to all and may the sound of the CMB be heard thoughtout the universe. E= mc2

We aren't going to have many workers attempting to write on here. (1) They generally believe in "wiping the dust off their feet" from contrary minded people, and (2) They generally have an overseer who will promptly toss them for "consorting with the enemy". But do not kid yourself -- they lurk, and like Nathan they will subtly warn the rest of them (the workers) of the faithful who are "faltering in the way". They're all about maintaining the walls. They sing about "where the walls are weak and low" -- at least, they used to.

Every once in a while I get something in the wrong place, but not often enough to chastised muchly for it.

In my experience I found that the stool pigeons had something to hide and were currying favour with the big bananas to offest their own crimes. They invaraiably tripped themselves up. The recent case of a married middle aged man, successful businessman, elder in the church who was caught with his pants down with a woman who was not his wife during Pukekohe preparations is a classic example. I am not sure who is sleazier, the bonker or the workers who are happy to take his tales and money.

The recent case of a married middle aged man, successful businessman, elder in the church who was caught with his pants down with a woman who was not his wife during Pukekohe preparations is a classic example. I am not sure who is sleazier, the bonker or the workers who are happy to take his tales and money. Frequently the case. When I was in university my wife worked and a young professing lady rented out second bedroom. I got a touch-up from a worker because this young lady mentioned to him that I had said that the Bible didn't say women had to wear dresses. Funny -- because the young lady had a key to a car owned by an elderly professing man in our neighborhood. And she would get into his car after he went to bed, drive 100 km. to see an unprofessing guy she was dating on the sly, and get back in the early morning before the old man woke up. She'd have been shocked greatly if she knew how I found out about what she was up to when she went out for the night.
