Not me.
Exactly this was why it was such a huge shock to me. I’ve been in meetings and gospel meetings my whole life. Was born again in 2019 listening to a holiness preacher on YouTube (Not in meetings). I was an alcohoIic, smoker, pothead, cusser, porn watching, adderall popping mess and Jesus broke the chains of all my sins and set me free. I was reading comments by ex 2x2’s and one of them mentioned we deny the deity of Christ so I was like well I know forsure this is false so I messaged my cousin in NewZealand who is a worker and she confirmed we do in fact deny the deity of Christ. So I asked my Wednesday night meeting not trying to jump to conclusions and it was a unanimous no to Jesus divinity. To the point my wife was getting uncomfortable and had to pinch me to try and get me to stop questioning. I didn’t want to get this wrong or confused so I was very thorough with my questioning. I then had a one on one sit down with my parents (my dad is an elder) and they confirmed I did not hear wrong. We then set up a meeting with the workers and had a full hour or so conversation about it. One of the biggest concerns is this topic is not discussed in detail. Obviously the only time it’s discussed is when workers stay at peoples house and discuss it one on one with the parents of the house hold because in my 34 years I never once heard it in meetings or conventions or anything. I strongly encourage anyone reading this find out for yourself and warn the people who are still in meetings of this deception. I know no church is perfect but this is directly opposed to scripture and anyone who denies Christ is in danger of eternal judgement.
