I got mine about a week ago from Amazon Australia. I read the NZ chapter first and then started at the beginning. So far so good. Thank you Cherie for going to all this time and trouble to document the history.

OFF TOPIC post follows, but the reader may find it interesting nonetheless. Amazon had a bug with programmed selling where vendors would accidentally resell each other's product in a loop, and the price would increase on a daily basis, sometimes into the millions of dollars. I'm a classical music buff, and have long noticed that if you type a composer's name, like 'Beethoven', into the search box at amazon.com and then sort on price, high to low, you will get ridiculous entries like this one: www.amazon.com/BEETHOVEN-SYMPHONIES-NOS-1-9-SACD-hybrid/dp/B000J10DQ6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=TKHP9C45CIU8&keywords=beethoven&qid=1657816798&rnid=2941120011&s=music&sprefix=beethoven%2Caps%2C81&sr=1-3It's a $50 CD set selling for $954.99 (at this moment, anyways). On the music forum I inhabit one gentleman kept posting about this or that CD he has now being worth some hundreds of dollars. I advised him numerous times that the price is fictitious, and I think he's got it, although I'm not completely sure. There are also some joke products on Amazon, where people post amusing reviews. Like this one for Tuscan whole milk. www.amazon.com/Tuscan-Dairy-Whole-Vitamin-Gallon/dp/B00032G1S0/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8You'll notice that the product is unavailable (always has been) and has 1,579 reviews all of them made up. Here are a couple: 1.0 out of 5 stars Color choice is limited Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2013 This is a fine milk, but the product line appears to be limited in available colors. I could only find white. Or, 5.0 out of 5 stars Gaya's milk be blessed Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2013 My wife gave birth to our first born in a bathtub filled with Tuscan Whole Milk, she felt no pain at any stage. He is now 5 years old and completing his PhD in quantum bio-mechanics. Part of another review, clearly from a Pentecostal .. "My newborn recently developed baby acne so I once again ordered a second batch. It arrived in the mail, still partially lukewarm, just three days later. The late delivery was a god-send as I no longer had to mix the milk with white flour and orange-flavored circus peanuts necessary to create the proper marbleized constitution needed for the shellacking. While the milk may carry with it a strong, pungent aftertaste when consuming, I can say the sweet smell of it when used as an exfoliate and face scrub is reminiscent to that of beehive honey. My baby's mild case of acne has since cleared up and she has even begun speaking in tongues which I can only attribute to this milk-based product to be that which was packaged and shipped by God herself."

It seems that Amazon prefers to ship to Canada from the UK, rather than the US. Any idea why this would be the case?

For some strange reason, book rates from England to Canada are extremely cheap. We often order used books (abebooks web site) from UK suppliers. I will write a review on completion. Probably be a bit brief, because I'm not as motivated on the subject as I once was ... but I'm interested enough to read your book. Also, I set up the book on 'goodreads.com'. It just takes a keyclick to add any book being sold on amazon ... if you've purchased it, that is. Here is the goodreads link, if you wanted to flesh it out. You can also set yourself up as an author on goodreads. It's a good way to have a controlled dialogue with your readership. www.goodreads.com/book/show/61416192-preserving-the-truth

I've never used them before, but some in my bookclub have mentioned it.

Just click the little US flag on Amazon to the left of the Find button (the little magnifier) and change countries. Have it shipped to your Canadian party. just a thought--I'm not sure if this would be cheaper. Course, you cant add a note this way...

I will post a review, but it may be awhile... Just ordered the new paperback from Amazon, but the delivery date is sometime between August 10 and the 23rd... Should have used express delivery Seemed odd that most of the used copies were priced higher than a new book?

That's bcs they are offered by other wholesalers--and they're actually new - not used. They can ask whatever they want and sell it on Amazon. Notice who you're buying it from. Often it is Book Depository. That's not Amazon. Amazon's prices are $34.98 and $44.98; also Barnes & Noble. Someone told me they cancelled their Amazon order that had a long time delivery date--and ordered from B&N and got it asap.

Thanks.... I just got the $34.98 one ($37.95 with shipping). I was just surprised that it might take weeks. I've ordered a lot of stuff from Amazon and its usually only 4 days to a week, even though I don't have Amazon Prime. Should have checked Barns & Noble, same price but free faster shipping. No hurry though, look forward to reading it.

WHY? Does quoting relevant scripture send the 2x2;s into sometimes a nasty response??

Received my copy today. Have had a quick scan and it is indeed up to Cherie's high standard of work. A very good presentation of the History of the 2x2 Church. Presented in an honest fashion, worts and all. And everybody can learn and change because of past mistakes. All things change with time, I have noticed 2x2 people are more normal now than what we were. A lot of that comes about because of the work done by people like Cherie. It has to be done in a precise fashion, without fear or favour.

I shared the event of Cherie’s book printing with a worker I’ve corresponded with some over the past year.
Me: You’ve probably heard of Cherie Kropp’s research.
Worker: Lee, why would you send this to me?
Me: A knowledge or awareness of history, like current events, is both interesting and useful.
Worker: Not when it is full of half truths
Me: The only purpose disinformation gives us, is knowledge about the existence, nature, and tactics of our enemy. What in Cheries compilation strikes you as untrue?
Worker: She, with others have put forth great effort to destroy my faith. There was a homeless man I saw in Manhattan NY, who with great delight turned and showed me a McDonald's hamburger he pulled out of a trash can. One small bite had been taken it of it. A perfectly good hamburger obviously a child didn't want, but he was eating it of a trash can! I do not wish to follow suit. Sorry! Discussion over!
Me: I think she’s more or less Christian. I think we’re all works in progress. For a time, and in some cases still, workers have not been frank about the aspect of human founder(s) as they relate to our faith. For the record, the apostles were all human.
Worker: All a Christian is, is one who believes in Christ. An identifier. Few Christians are children of God, that is what Jesus said, not me!
Many things are not hidden, we just do not need to know. Few things are my business. Nothing of the origins of this way were ever hid from me. George Walker, William Irvine or any other did not start what I believe in. This is what Cherie teaches. It is not true.
Me: It may seem like that. But she knows our Christian faith is more than externals.
I agree many persuasions have been labeled Christian. The elect represent Jesus uniquely.
——
I’m not sure what was so wrong with the hamburger! The worker said it was perfectly good! Matthew 15: 17-20

Matthew 15: 17-20 I rarely have a clue what you’re talking about but you played this perfectly. It provides a great insight into the worker mindset and confirms that little has changed in terms of fundamental beliefs. The half truths claim is a clever tactic as it casts doubt on the entire project without having to deny those bits that are undeniably true. Of course when pressed to identify those parts that are untrue the worker immediately diverts into some nonsense about a hamburger. Detail is inevitably the enemy of untruth just as vagueness is its friend. Religious delusion is best maintained by invoking the tried and tested methods such as truth distortion, information rejection, refusing to answer questions and shutting down discussion and we seem to have stumbled on the entire package here. It is hard to understand how Workers got this mindset, and then passed it on to some of the Laity. The annoying part is that they make judgement without any research or knowledge of what they are talking about. They are satisfied to remain in ignorance. In the exchange with Lee the Worker gave himself away when he said, "Lee, why would you send this to me?" He was not interested to read it, so how could he reach a conclusion that the book was full of half truths. Just complete ignorance.
IMO it is a philosophical problem that originated in the crazy mind of William Irvine and got passed down the line like a mental disease. It has weakened to some extent because of better information available now. Also the work of people like Cherie has helped to change people's thinking. Common sense has prevailed. It makes you understand how the mind of one man can contaminate so many minds. That is how cults start. That is why you need to learn as much as you can about anything before you shoot your mouth off.
