By the same logic, another person would have no problem believing that the complete Koran as he knows it is the inspired work of God. And therein lies the rub. the only rub is between you and your homo friend... No post is a complete loss. Posts like this help me understand why some animals eat their young.

if anyone has trouble believing that the Bibile is the word of God in written form, then I would say that the Bible is then dead to them, or maybe a lack of faith. It is God who will show you if the Bible is absolute or not

[quote author= to Edgar Edgar Edgar you are so wrapped up in scoring points against the 2x2, that you have not noticed that the above parts 1,2,3. are not from the 2x2 /quote] Chuckling,... A fact I'm sure is obvious to everyone but Edgar.

In fact, as human flesh moves in on a house church, you will begin to hear calls for one or more of three things: imported pastors, buildings, and neckties. — Dan Trotter This is a clever writer, gifted at getting his point across, even where you disagree, but the above quote did hit home with me. I am, or was, part of a home church that started out as individuals who broke away from the traditional churches. Initially, we did meet in each others homes. But you know, what he said is exactly what happened. Some started asking for a pastor. It made me feel like we were inadequate. More of us did end up getting together, because we found out we weren't the only ones looking for a closer personal walk with God. But within about a year and a half there was talk of "why don't we make a place where we can all get together and worship?" It did cause a lot of division and heartache. It is not easy or cheap. The thing that did it for me, was the day when we were getting ready to hold our first services, and a dispute arose between how loud the piano should be in comparison to the organ. The poor lady didn't know how to play with anything but her heart. I had to flee the premesis. I could not be a part of this anymore.

The poor lady didn't know how to play with anything but her heart. I had to flee the premesis. I could not be a part of this anymore. Thank-you for sharing you experience with us... What you experienced is partly why there are many people who just give up on any kind of organized fellowship and worship alone... But fellowship is needful to many even if it's not always perfect or fulfilling. I have thought about what you described...why not just a bunch of people get together in homes and fellowship/meet, study, discuss, etc? Well sure any group can gather together, but people naturally WANT leadership from those with special and divine calling and connection who devote themselves to God. This is the way it has also been with people. Many folks out there seek for a church and keep seeking until they find the 'right pastor' and they will stick with that pastor...many folks just stay with the church they are raised in or marry into/convert to. But everyday people who lead busy lives raising families or having careers do want leaders to help with the SPIRITUAL things .... this is the way people are. I try not to judge anyone else for their beliefs. Just love them and share as much love as possible and let God do the work.
