Thank you so much Brian for posting the Memorial Service for Dennis. A fitting tribute to a wonderful man. I found Dennis to be very spiritual, not religious, there is a difference. You have the comfort of knowing that Dennis could say with confidence, "It is well with my Soul".

For an atheist of sorts, you seem to use a lot of Bible references. Just saying! I read you once profess. The bible a source of knowing about god. How do you self identify now? I thought the bible was text recording what beliefs the writers had in paranormal beings.

A heavenly test prep study guide. :-) Revelation 20:15
"And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

The lake of fire. I assume it is sulfur burning. Given the option of eternal life or a quick dip into a burning lake I am not sure which way I would be inclined to go. Being cast into a lake of fire I can understand. Explain what will be happening for the endless billions and billions of years throughout eternity that makes it the desired choice of so many.

I think the "Lake of Fire" warning verse was intended to "scare the hell out of you". As it's now that season; I wonder if the HELL HOUSES will require masks this year?

In 1991, while I was visiting Don & Kathy Lewis, they invited Dennis and Ylva and their two children over for a meal. That was the first and only time I ever met Dennis in person. After that meeting nearly 30 years ago, however, we stayed in contact via email and on various message forums we both participated on. Through the years, Dennis was helpful to me in my quest to collect historical information for a book I was writing, and my website called Telling The Truth. He provided valuable input about the Church Without a Name in which he had been a member and preacher for many years. In recalling things Dennis wrote over the years, there is one Biblical phrase that comes to my mind more than any other that Dennis frequently used. It was "lovingkindness." He often signed his letters and notes with "In loving kindness." This term is used 23 times in Psalms. Dennis certainly valued and trusted in the lovingkindness of his Saviour and Lord. ~~~~~~~ Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Psalm 51:1 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. Psalm 40:11 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 9:24 ~~~~~~~~
I'm glad our lives ever crossed and am glad that Dennis has been released from his physical suffering and is resting in God's lovingkindness for all eternity. Cherie Kropp-Ehrig

Thank you for reminding me of that term he used Cherie. I never met Dennis, but we communicated from early 2000ish and now that you mention it, I recall him often using that phrase. I used to wonder at how he could, considering how he’d been treated, but that was the measure of the man.
I miss his input on here

Dennis seemed to love music, I think he would have enjoyed these kids singing.
