These days professing people post messages on facebook asking where a meeting is if they are travelling. Which begs the question - what did they do before facebook??
But you're right, Gratu; if you're an outsider - no hope at all of finding this group if you were to try.

We ask someone in our own area if they knew where the meetings were in the area where we planned to go.
If they didn't know themselves there was quite a grapevine in action to find someone who did know.

You have to receive an invitation to attend. After all it has to be kept as an exclusive club. Can't have the organisation polluted by Riff Raff. People, or a group of people, regarded as disreputable or worthless. The lowest classes, rabble, trash, rubbish.
Bit like trying to join the Masons, you need to be invited.

Supposing a person stubling across this board and reading about 2x2ism becomes interested in seeing it in action, how does a “stranger” find a worker's Gospel Meeting? I do not have ANY answer to this question, and from past 2x2 experience of numerous years in the sect one might expect that I should have the answer. So does anyone on this board have an answer? you ask someone here and they ask a worker, of course the person asking must reveal what city and state and country they are in for the contact information....

Wally, that could be a disaster. It would be hard to know who you should ask on TMB. I would be frightened off by your avatar. I know you are a good bloke, but the World may not perceive that.

The professing people on here can get the right information to so and so worker and the workers will get in touch with them. We have connections. I have done it here in the past. I get them to Sunday morning meetings, conventions, gospel meetings.

I think it is time that the 2x2's get an official web sight. Other Churches have them. It will happen, they are just a bit slow off the mark. Could be a topic for discussion at the upcoming Australian Workers meeting. You should be able to Google, "I want to be a 2x2", and like magic up comes all the information. Perhaps they could copy this one, twelvetribes.org/community/our-communities-australia-overview

I know you are a good bloke, but the World may not perceive that. i've had a few email me from here asking for help and i did send them their requested info. over a two year period it amounted to about 1 a month or 24 people....

Maybe the 2x2's should launch a website and pop-in a donation link so they can increase their coffers. Here is an example they could use: Giving to Christ .

Think TTT might be a better bet. Much more informative and reliable information. TMB is an open public board, available to all who wish to contribute. That is a good thing breaks down barriers and makes people think. It is great to have a place where we can mass debate.

From Gratu's post:
"This board used to be one of several earlier online places where troubled visitors could get friendly help from those who walked similar paths before them – sadly that friendly died as mainly atheists domineered here. And some of them have shown 'how much help' they will offer on this thread alone."
Gratu the times they are changing. Get used to it. People are becoming more enlightened, mainly due to "Google".
As I always suggest troubled people can go to questioningfriends.com

I wonder if anyone reading this site could inform me if there are currently (keep in mind the seasonal break) any gospel missions in the east of Scotland, especially the Dundee, Perth, Edinburgh and Fife areas? I would appreciate this information very much. Any answers can be provided on this thread or by privately sending me a personal message. Thank you.

Some believe that a seeking soul will be led to the servants. A google search of "nondenominational bible talks" can locate a gospel meeting.

I found this doing a facebook search:
"Come hear a ministry that is sent forth as Jesus commanded in Matthew 10, which lives by His example.
Come hear about a way that brings true peace and rest of heart.
Come learn how you can have a living relationship with the living God."
For more information, call ^^^^^^^^^

I know a worker who advertised gospel meeting on the local TV channel. Well that should be ok. The friends shouldn't find out about that because they don't have TVs, right? The irony is doing my head in.

Does anyone by chance have the USA convention list for 2020? I’m mainly interested in August & September and particularly in the Illinois and Michigan areas since I’ll be out there working this summer and need to plan long 3 day weekend vacation days off well in advance. Thanks for your your help!

TV's are pretty much kosher in 2x2 homes now. We know a number who have them. They sort of haven't come out of the bedrooms yet, but give it time they will find their way to the lounge.

They've been a long, long time finding their way to the lounge. Like 10, 20 years or more. TV in the bedroom has been happening for a long time amongst 2x2s

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. a time for no TV, time for TV."

Enuf, the best fun always starts in the bedroom, it just takes awhile to get to the lounge.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens".
Just that the 2x2 season always starts late.
