Some time back in Texas (30+ yrs or so), they stopped handing out gospel mtg hymnbooks at gospel mtgs, except for outsiders. Was this also done in other states? In some places they used to have gospel hymn books, which had fewer hymns than the full hymn book. But I think that was before the new hymnbook came out in the late 1980's. One worker even had leaflets of gospel hymns to pass out to everyone at gospel meetings -- hymns that weren't even in the "canonized" hymns of the day.

“If you want to prove your point ...” I don't need to prove any point because I didn't have any point. You are the one with the point brought up by the curlydoomahicy who has long butted out of proving the point. And at this point it would seem that the point is on the top of your head. Maybe YOU can show even an English pound that the English bank can “pay to the bearer” an English pound – pound of WHAT?? - gold, sugar, flowers, dung? I am hoping that you are not really this uninformed. For those who actually looked at the Scottish bank notes it clearly states that the currency is Pounds Sterling. And when you get your credit card statement there will be no mention on the currency that does not exist and the conversion will be in GBP. To the rest of the informed world the monetary designation of GBP is known as the abbreviation for the British pound sterling. Currencies have their recognized monetary designation. Maybe to prove your point you could post the monetary designation of your imaginary currency. curlywurlysammagee is just smarter than I am and realized early that trying to inform you of reality is as useful as trying to teach a pig to sing. As the saying goes - Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig. I see you are still concerned about the page views. After I post this I will set the counter to 3,500 as a gift to you. You're Welcome.

Cheri Kropp posted on here once where to get a hymn book and bible. I messaged her privately after that and asked her to give me that info again. She did I'll look through my past messages and see if I can find it. If not ... you might want to send Cheri Kropp a pvt msf and ask her. Just click on her namecti message her privately. Jet, Allan's or their website has been mentioned here numerous times. Even the password to enter the site so as to purchase an item. However Gratuitous has said they do not work for him which is odd. I went on and purchased a book in about one minute. That being the case, then one would have to wonder whether there are other motives for the obtuseness of the fella. If any one is interested I've seen R.L. ALLAN bibles for sale at readsonable prices at www.christianbook.comOne could also search online for "R L ALLAN Bible distributors" I know this thread is mainly about hymn books but I just thought I'd mention the R L ALLAN BIBLE resources in response to some of the questions I've seen about R L ALLAN BIBLE resources. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

“I see you are still concerned about the page views. After I post this I will set the counter to 3,500 as a gift to you. “ Well, ratz, why boost it from 2,703 to a measly 3500 “for” me? I have seen you claim to resurrect deleted posts from some 'archive' and that done “easily”. And I have seen you counter-claim that “once a post is deleted, it's gone.” And I have seen threads jump by as much as 800 views in a day, which I took to be the result of those “bots” you claimed might boost the thread count. I could see how important you considered page views so I was just trying to help out without raising suspicions. So to “prove your point”why not boost the count on this thread by, say, 20000 or 40,000 views so everyone (including me) can KNOW that your pipe is not filled with horse dung?[/quote]There is no need. That many page loads, especially with all of the cut and paste material you have posted, might be seen as a DoS attack and we wouldn't want that. Think of the many people visiting here to read your pearls of wisdom. Do you want them denied? I am just trying to make sure the information you are providing is accurate. In the final analysis, you are in error. You could stop all of the back and forth simply by applying yourself and learning a few facts. But, as demonstrated in the past, even in the light of many sources of data that illustrate the error of your claims you cannot bring yourself to admit you are wrong. Even after posting something like: 13.00 Scottish pounds equals something like $9.943711 GBP - whatever "GBP" stands for - maybe "Gross Burping Pop?
