Right. You idolize your church. What a treasure that is!
How can you make such a statement? I do not idolise my church; I do not glorify the infrastructure of the fellowship. Indeed, it is impossible to idolise the church, because, in truth, a church is a gathering of people. Yes, I love my church - the body of believers united under one authority, the Lord Jesus Christ - but I do not idolise it, nor do I gloss over our imperfections.
You are saying here by implication that non-2x2s are not blessed.
No, you are infering this via assumption. I did not say the ex-2x2s are NOT blessed, I merely maintain that we in the fellowship ARE blessed. By establishing the positive affirmation, one does not automatically, by projection, also establish the negative proposition. This is faulty argumentative logic.
You sure must be an expert on who God does and does not bless. Fortunately, most of us here were not born yesterday and see right through your 2x2-colored narrowmindedness.
H'mm. I think you may be equally narrowminded - if that is meant as an insult. Actually I freely admit I am narrowminded, because, as G. K. Chesterton wrote, "An open mind is only as good as an open mouth, insofar as it has something worthwhile to chomp into." I do not hold to the pretension that I am "open minded" and have never done so.
Lifting your noses above those heathen former 2x2s again?
Actually this is your interpretation of my comments. What does this say about your perspective regarding the friends, do you think?
sheesh, you really have a swelled ego because of the church you attend. That's sad.
Perhaps I am egotistical in many ways. I am trying to grow more humble, with the help of God, and God has sent me many trying and bleak experiences which have helped me to wrestle with my inner pride. Nevertheless, some of this is bound to remain.
Grace? You have shown no grace whatsoever. You are two-faced.
To paraphrase the Ethiopian man to whom the Apostle Philip spoke, "How can I know grace unless there be some man to guide me?" Perhaps you can exemplify grace for me, friend, and I can follow your example?

I was so excited when Michelle first posted here because I am a former "truther" from Wisconsin and thought that I could possibly help her. After a few of her posts, though, I too began to question the legitimacy of them. I think that he really is from Wisconsin and possibly is wondering if he should go back to meetings. Wish that I could help him.

Michelle,
I'm sorry. When I read your first posts, my heart went out to you. You are a bit older than my daughter and I tried to figure out who you might be, since you stated that you live in Wisconsin. I've been out of the meetings for a shorter time than you but long enough to be "healed", for the most part. After a few more of your posts, I really did suspect that you were someone else who posts on here. I'm sorry. I sincerely do like to help people see who the Way is. Grandma

Alright...well, then, I'm sorry too Grandma. But...I stated I live in Wisconsin, because I DO live in Wisconsin! ....and, aside from the fact that someone here has nothing better to do than to try to prove I'm not who I say I am, I am *exactly* who I say I am. I would like that person to offer up some proof instead of conjuncture, because he/she won't be able to do it....might feel a bit foolish. So I say sheesh...that's the best you (he/she) can do?? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesh. M.

Questions for you but if you don't want to answer its OK. Did you always live in upper WI? I wonder if you ever got to the Vanderbelt MI convention as many from WI do come there? Does/did your Husband Profess? Is your family still professing?
I ask because I lived in the UP of Michigan and wondered if we might have crossed paths at one time or another in the Church goings and comings.

No. I lived in southern WI a large portion of my life and went to Marion. no he does not. yes they are. M.
PS...edited to add: I doubt we crossed paths as I stopped attending meetings except for occasional gospel meetings through the years, when I was about 18 years old...approx. 16 years ago. I didn't move here to this location in WI until I was 22. M.

Yes,
I used to go to meeting with Tracy and her family when I was younger. I even traveled to Wisconsin once with her to visit her family there. It was a long time ago now.
Her story is surely a sad one. I have no doubt that many of the triggers for her story were her want of fitting in with meeting people and being accepted, but never being accepted by the super saints.
I always wondered what happened to her. She was often in my prayers. I hope things are going better for her at this point.

But please quit calling this one out about it. He has gone to extraordinary lengths to bolster up his story and is providing plenty of good entertainment. Plus he has the more gullible people here completely fooled which is great fun.
Word of advice wtbwg, you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.
Still I enjoy seeing the cooneyite apologetics in action. Shows they are very concerned, nearly desperate about losing members. I can smell their fear and I love it. So keep on and that goes for bert git and Nate too

Uses P.O. Box for Michelle Michelle Florence Wisconsin right on the upper peninsula of Michigan border....so..VERY north ..bout 2 hours north of Green Bay. Would love to have a Wisconsin meet up sometime, what do any of you think?? My husband is from Gillingham, England(in Kent) and came over on the K1 visa Jan. 18 of this y ear and we were married March 26 of this year...would love to hear from anyone going through the same adjustments or anyone who has sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=SELAH4How are you doing Selah? I am having a bit of a rough time at the moment, but I expect that to change very soon...we all have those things in life, don't we?? How are things going for you in the weight-loss arena??? I am pulling for you!!! I have to say, again, that I SO much appreciate you on TMB. You are a shining example of how to be if you do not believe in the F&W way. I am truly riding the fence at the moment, but Bryan is sure right about one thing on there...Brad's methods and a few others...sure make one defensive and not even want to listen to a viewpoint. I appreciate your loving manner to all people...so thank you! It's nice to be able to post to a few on there and no you won't be criticized or condemned, no matter what you say. Blessings to YOU, Mich727 Now she says here husband is bryan. Humm Bryan or Craig?? Seems like Pictures do look the same either. All of this information is posted via public record on the Web. Things seem to not match up very well.
