Subject: Juan Pablo...the young one
Remember this picture a couple of weeks ago? Now there is just one Haitian
worker.
We were seated at the table this morning for breakfast wondering why Juan
Pablo wasn’t coming. Two went up to look for him, and found him dead, on the
floor.
We called 911, they came, the police, then a forense doctor and
confirmed his death.
Right now the body is in the hospital in Bonao...later to Santiago, DR for
the autopsy...and then the details for getting the body to Haiti.
Juan Pablo was the youngest of us here these days...we would often call
him “joven” (young one)...and even at breakfast asked...”where would the
“joven” be?”
He was just 30 years old, had been in the work some 4 years.
In the night, Erick heard someone fall...and breathing very hard, and
he thought it was me...in a bedroom on the first floor...they upstairs. So
it wasn’t the oldest who left this life, but the youngest. More details
later. Kj
