Four different victims, four different cults, two distinct types of cult: Victim 1: Gradually sucked in deeper, persuaded to give more money, then sex, finally decided to leave Victim 2: Imprisoned in a room for 3 months and raped, first escape attempt failed, after crafty planning a second escape was successful. Victim 3: Lured with false promises, gave all her money, regular sex and drugs, attempted suicide, finally managed to leave Victim 4: Had to conform to 3 meetings a week, looking his best and no TV. If I had to be one of these victims, I know which one I would choose to be! Of course, with some digging we can all find ‘damage’ from our childhood which gives us problems throughout our lives, it is always someone else’s fault unless we take what we have and work with it. Then amazing things become possible!

Then amazing things become possible! I'd rather not be any of them but I was born into number four and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Each person's experience with it is completely subjective most likely due a combination of factors both genetic and biological. How one child turns out being born into and being forced to comply with a doctorine will obviously differ massively from person to person. Personally I can say that it was profoundly damaging. Social conditioning is one big issue here. As for your comments about only having to look your best three times a week and not watch tv. That is an insulting misinterpretation of many people's experience and child hood development growing up in this group. Hopefully one day you will read other peoples experiences and not stupidly assume everyone was the same as you. Shame on you.

Then amazing things become possible! And what about those who don't have the wherewithal to work with it. Gill recently posted how it is that victims are robbed of the wherewithal. That's the evil of religious cults.

I don't read where the post says they only had to look their best 3 times a week. Before insulting others read the post properly. As for the writer saying no TV, that was many of our experience.

So is it saying looking his best 3 times a week or attends meetings 3 times a week? If it's saying looking their best 3 times a week you have to say it says no watching TV 3 times a week because it's got 'and'. It doesn't actually say looking their best 3 times a week although they might mean it

My point was if you think all that was required was to go to a meeting three times a week, wearing a particular set of clothes and not to watch TV then he's ignorant to the point of stupidity. The fact you're arguing the pedantry of sentence structure over the obvious fact that this is a dispicable cult speaks volumes to the state of your mind.

Yes born and bred. Certainly not a current member. Well conversed on cult characteristics. Well educated. Master's degree in sociology, psychology and child development. Bachelor also included anthropology, statistics, research etc. What about you? Born into it sadly. Never a professing member.
