Presentation is a big deal in the theatre of humans. Why do we dress differently for special religious and special secular occasions? Because we want to be perceived in the way we want to be perceived.
Our bodies are another matter. We have influence over their appearance but not total.
Behavior is part of our appearance.
Internal and external, neither has a monopoly.

What is considered beautiful changes and varies from culture to culture. Some things that are considered beautiful in other cultures are totally at odds with what we deem beautiful. In people I mean. I think beauty in nature is pretty much universal with some exceptions I'm sure.

The genius of this film is it's manifold depiction of beauty.

What hurts is when others fail to see the person inside. Beauty isn't always the face we wear.
