He is separate minded and system minded at once. Talk to me if you wish to be separate minded. 2x2ism remains...his sacred cow.

My dad can be circumspect about religion, including his own. He continues to be stoked by the workers example and home meetings.
When he and my mom retired and moved to Wisconsin he told the workers he didn't want to be an elder any longer. He knew of the controversy over d&r, and didn't want to be involved.

Back to the OP. Last night I had a couple of hours to finish reading this book. Overall, I found it to be engaging and humorous despite the serious nature of the content.
It is telling and a sad reflection on my time in the fellowship that reading of the abuses didn't surprise me. Inner circle family exposed me early on to a belief: supporting the system and workers is always the right thing to do, even to the cost of others.
This book is a worthwhile read for those who have either, never heard of people being treated poorly in the fellowship or dismiss abuse because has not been their experience.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has struggled with trying to live an honorable life at the same time as keep the peace in the fellowship.
