Overseer of Tennessee and the Northeast briefly after Andrew Abernethy died. Never had the prestige of some. He would have died around the 1980s. Many said he never seemed like an overseer. He didn't have the presence of an overseer.

He didn't have the presence of an overseer. Was with Sherman Farrar for 2 different years. He served under Charles Hughes for more than 20 years. S. Farrar was an exceptional man who had a kind way about his approach to many issues. He was exceptionally intelligent. He did not make snap decisions and when problems arose was patient in listening to all sides of the story. Sherman was from New Hampshire.

Many said he never seemed like an overseer. He didn't have the presence of an overseer. No, way too humble.

You're right about it being NH rather than DE - I changed my post. Findagrave has some interesting comments about him & dates.

The Find a Grave comment says he lived in Hillsboro NH, however his mother lived in the family home in Henicker NH in the late 1950's early 1960's. That is not proof that he lived there, but if searching the NH vital records I would look for the birth record to be Henicker in Merrimack County.
