ummm a kid isn't gonna get anywhere near 500 rounds per minute esp. if being fire back at maybe an adult with some training could odds are its gonna go something like this... www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCySuemiHUSome bump stocks will deliver 800 rounds per minute. All you need is the rifle, a bump stock, and a high capacity magazine. The odds for the teacher with a handgun are poor. But I will leave it to you to sell the idea to the teachers. Wally may need to hire some guards to keep strangers from knocking on his door.

like i said 200 teachers or so have already volunteered more will follow if they are extended that right plus armed guards....not that the cowardly parkland guard did anything though... There is no reason to believe that he acted any differently than any guard might have acted and certainly the probability of how a teacher would react. I am not a kid but have limited experience and went through 50 rounds in seconds. What makes you think it is difficult? you didn't have people shooting back at you...

No, but I know the accuracy of a handgun in the hands of a non-expert and its maximum rate of fire. I feel I would be looking at pretty good odds. @wally, there is a reason why troops are not expected to use handguns in the field unless there is no other option. Fire power usually wins the day.

Can make a lovely belt out of the skin though.

wait, have any mass shooters carried a rifle into school concealed in a backpack? No. But rifles have been brought into schools concealed under baggy jeans and sweat-shirts. I didn't mean sagging pants ... they won't work. They have to be baggy and belted at the waist. Ban pants then, Every male is to wear a kilt.

Ban pants then, Every male is to wear a kilt. I once taught in a school where they decided that it would be appropriate to "require" that students wear underwear to school. The problem came when they had to police it.

Ban pants then, Every male is to wear a kilt. Were they "kilt" by playing bag pipes nite & day in their ears so they couldn't sleep?

The sound of bagpipes receding into the distance is my favourite bagpipe sound.

The sound of bagpipes receding into the distance is my favourite bagpipe sound. Me too. The impression the pipes made on the air molecules 200 years ago provides the acceptable level for me. Homeopathic music, perhaps.

No Wally, that is torture and is illegal. Hey I have just had a sensational thought Wally. Instead of carrying a gun Wally why not carry a set of bag pipes. At the first hint of trouble you could launch into your favourite tune and reduce your assailants to quivering wrecks.
