Are meeting tents still used at all UK/Ireland conventions? Or have meeting sheds been built on some convention grounds? Perhaps at the newer conventions? Your comments about your first memories of convention sheds being built and replacing tents would be appreciated (if they have!) Please be sure to provide convention location and year. Thanx. It happened around: 1988-89 at Texarkana, TX prior to 1994 at Seneca, IL

It happened in: 1988-89 at Texarkana, TX prior to 1994 at Seneca, IL Hi Cherie, I'm not certain, but I think that timing for the meeting shed at Texarkana being build might be off by a year or two. I was on that project when it was built, and I was transferred from Texas to Iowa in 1987, so I'm pretty sure it would have been 1986 or 1987 when the shed was built. Maybe Chris S. can confirm. Not that he was there, but he does have encyclopedic memory . Wylie Byrd was the construction foreman. One of his nephews was there as well. And a slew of workers. A bunch of us stayed upstairs in the Pickering house for the duration of the project. Bruce S. was there, as was Jim P.; Craig W.; others....
