Dear friends,
Many thanks for your messages. Our recent visit to Shillong was worthwhile; since it was our last visit for the year most mentioned of the long gap before the next visit, which would be in February 2016 after the Indian conventions are over. In two places, when we announced it would be the last meeting for the year, they requested if we could manage one more visit before we left; we were most glad to oblige. All other contacts have extended a welcome for next year, so the prospects seem good.
We returned to Kathmandu on 14 November via the east Indian city of Kolkata and it was nice to meet several of the contacts who had been in touch with the gospel years ago, all of them were friendly and inquired after many who labored in Kolkata. We also met the teacher who helped some with the Bengali language, this time he talked freely about the gospel and scriptures; which he never did in the past. He and his wife extended an invitation to go to their village in the Sundarbans. We are privileged to have a Father in whose hands we can entrust each one for He will certainly preserve true need and draw His lost sheep unto Himself in His time.
We were able to make one round of visits in Nepal to our friends and contacts since returning, including the ones in the villages; all are looking forward to our convention in Kathmandu on 5 & 6 December. Situation in the country is deteriorating each day with agitations against the new constitution becoming violent; so far it has been quiet and safe in Kathmandu except for scarcity of Petro products. Our friends, contacts and the population at large have learnt to manage with what is available but many are beginning to question the inaction of the authorities and the indiscretion of the agitators and armed forces.
Our visitors are scheduled to arrive on 01 December and all of us, visitors and local staff, leave for New Delhi on 08 December; the Indian conventions begin 10 December on-wards. We have some plans in place when the visitors will be in Nepal and we hope there will be no hindrance to follow the plans.
Study of Psalm 103 reminded of Luke 6:45; “for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh”. David was bringing forth that which was good from the good treasure of his heart. On the contrary, the man in Luke 12:19 was bringing forth that which was worthless from what filled his heart. A thought occurred that caution has to be exercised of what fills one’s heart for that is what will eventually come out.
Greetings and best wishes in Him,
Frykholm
