Don't let the two-bit bully get you down! Thanks for the advice, Some day he will meet his match and it won't be pretty and he will wonder why. There are plenty of people on TMB, both current 2x2's and ex's, who are his intellectual match or better. Fortunately, there aren't so many who match his personality!

There are plenty of people on TMB, both current 2x2's and ex's, who are his intellectual match or better. Fortunately, there aren't so many with his personality! Very true, most of them are humble and friendly, informed, and not so boastful and sooooooo very arrogant; I might add, they are very respectful and respectable; no mud slinging that I am aware of. I suppose it is like having a "black sheep in the family." Note carefully I said in the family and not of the family. I don't regard him as a member of this forum family? Probably weasel his way in, hope that Redback is not really responsible, why would he do that to us? Cheeeeeese!!!

To whom it may concern My typing errors occur because I am not coping very well with modern technology and particularly with the gadgets that have keyboards with " predictive text" I find them very irritating because they change words that one has typed and in my particular case they often go unnoticed because I do not always engage the "spell checker." The text inserted by the predictive text editor will not show up as a misspelling. You could always disable it should the cost exceed the value added.

Well if it is not the word I intend to use and it put in another word then I don't think that it helps me at all; I would rather not have it,

What device/operating system? An Apple iPad I feel your pain. There are two issues - predictive text and auto-correct. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard and flip the Predictive switch to Off. I think what you really want is to flip the Auto-correct switch to OffYou didn't mention the OS version. This is (I think) iOS 8.

Now with the computer-aid removed, we see that you truly are English-impaired ! 2016 is going to be such a hoot with you around! Aren't you glad we met? Aren't you glad you insulted me? It's a fabulous way to start a relationship. I so do love the aging gracefully crowd - or as they are known around my place, the greedy healthcare-gouging refusing-to-die crowd.

I meant that the genetics of food products have been modified in one way or another - directly or through selective breeding. The outcome is the same. That's why there will be more salmon for everyone. Selective breeding increased the growth rate and direct modification of the DNA reduced the time to market from about 3 years to 1.5 years. cross breeding an edible plant with a non-edible plant is not a good idea we don't know the long term effects of this yet... But you eat the results that others have tested and found edible. Or do you refuse to eat all but crab apples?

Well, it is a good thing salmon are not plants! Who is doing the cross breading of which you speak (going the extra mile to avoid ending a sentence with preposition!)? The selective breeding of the honey bees by crossing Apis mellifera scutellata with Apis mellifera ligustica and Apis mellifera iberiensis was probably not a good idea either but is direct genetic modification going to produce something worse? some chuckle head in Louisiana is breeding sweet potatos with an ornamental plant and some other chuckle head wants to breed roses with a food bearing plant... What's the problem. He's not going to make you eat it if it turns out not to be edible?

Such victims cannot get along with anybody, young or old.

Yet this post shows that even though you say you know him, you don't! No one belonging to God would say those things. It's disgusting to talk about the elderly in this way. Remember, the elderly have paid their taxes right through their lives. They deserve to be looked after!

I freely admit to making typos. I make many typos. I skip words. I miss letters in words, etc. I hope that others can see my arguments despite my typos. I certainly try to do so with others.

In context: @simpleton :D 'ing as you are so like the person who wrote a harsh critique in response to a PhD candidate's thesis just prior to submission and his email contained multiple spelling and grammatical errors. This informs the reader of the critic's attitude: they are so 'hoist with their own petard' they fail to reflect on their own foibles. You wrote "Unable to comprehend the book they claim to be an authority on, does not bod well for confidence in their ability to read and comprehend much else, secular or not." Correction: "bode". This is amusing given you are referring to the reading and comprehension ability of others. [it would take just a wee search to see that I too make errors. I've hopefully saved you some time with that admission]. I freely admit to making typos. I make many typos. I skip words. I miss letters in words, etc. I hope that others can see my arguments despite my typos. I certainly try to do so with others.

I'm very curious as to your logic. I tend to think that age allows for all your faults to be visible. All your selfishness.

What an admission, so he/she is human after all, not perfect and not yet old, and yet vulnerable to making errors? not likely to grow old either by the looks of it If he/she continues the way he/she is going. What a poor and pathetic specimen of a human being!! I have received some reliable feed back about him, he was kicked off another forum for the same reason, they could not wait to rid themselves of him.

Simple Simon met a pieman, Going to the fair; Says Simple Simon to the pieman, Let me taste your ware. Says the pieman to Simple Simon, Show me first your penny; Says Simple Simon to the pieman, Indeed I have not any. Simple Simon went a-fishing, For to catch a whale; All the water he had got, Was in his mother's pail. Simple Simon went to look If plums grew on a thistle; He pricked his fingers very much, Which made poor Simon whistle.[1] Origin??
I enjoys reciting this one as a little lad at school, does anyone remember it?

Yes, I find it interesting that simpleton is so much like the worker we had on the board a awhile back. That supposed worker hurled insults right & left & center much like simpleton does now!
Both he & simpleton are frustrated & angry with something or someone. They are venting that anger on us They neither one use factual material or any kind of rationality or critical thinking on a subject.

He went to catch a dicky bird, And thought he could not fail, Because he had a little salt, To put upon its tail.
He went for water with a sieve, But soon it ran all through; And now poor Simple Simon Bids you all adieu.
Perhaps the last line is required.....

Wonder what Partaker knew when he created the topic for this thread??!! Are you still wondering or is it now obvious and self revealing? I am reliably informed that He was kicked off another forum for obvious reasons- behavioural problems. A leopard never ever changes its spots.
