Re sets kids on fire. There's been a spate of these kid killing incidents of late. Usually it's the new boyfriend - obeying evolutionary instincts. (which amuses me as people often say they are born such and such, and we should just accept that.)
I am at someone's place at the moment, and this news is on the TV - over and over again.
I also have the newspapers. Here I can just turn the page. Headlines are enough in these cases.

Newspapers have been closing and will continue to do so because online advertising is grabbing their revenue. Yes, there's a problem with step father violence towards kids.

I lament the death of newspapers. Magazines, too. I purchased today's Australian even if I don't read it - just feel guilty that I also buy a newspaper a lot less than I used to.
... and then the internet will be choking on ads, as well.

Here it is 2 months ago, last time you were posting the same stuff:
Cut & Paste;
It's things like this that just get to me. Justifying your own belief actions. It's so easy to do, this is why there are 33,000 denominations of Christianity with the majority thinking they are the right way.
First, I posted a couple of weeks ago that approximately 25% of the "Friends" now have TVs. Not because they are evil. Its only because they realize the absurdity and hypocrisy of stating that "a computer with internet is just absolutely fine, but a TV is evil". Most of these people are people with a good head on their shoulders, and are able to think reasonably for themselves. People that are also led by the HS. People that also love Christ as you do. People that also love the Fellowship as you do.
Second, I have no problem with anything that you or anyone else decides they want to do, or they feel is right for themselves. I just have a problem when they judge others that don't have the same convictions they do. (I know - now I'm judging the judger :0 )
Third, You justify your reason for having the internet in your home. Most of your justifications are not only hypothetical's, but worse, future hypothetical's. Example: "What happens when newspapers vanish? Where would such people go when banks shift to on-line? And mail only comes once a week" This hasn't happened, yet you still have what I'm going to show you is much worse than a TV in your home. Even if it WAS the case, would you not be willing for the cost of sacrificing whatever your justifications are for having it due to the evil it also brings along? Willing for the "Cost"?
Here's a TV vs the Internet:
-TV has evil shows such as Two & Half Men. Internet has the exact same shows. They are easier to get as you can pull them up at anytime. -TV takes up too much time. Internet takes up much more time. Especially for the younger generation that don't have much interest in TV due to the much more convenience of access to everything they can get on TV - through the internet. -TV is regulated. There is a limit to what may appear on a screen that perhaps a 6 year old may be looking at. There are no bounds, regulation, or anything else that stops a 6 year old or a 90 year old from accessing the most evil things this world has to offer. -TVs are usually publicly displayed in a home making it much easier for parents to regulate what their kids may be watching. -Internet on a laptop, or other devices can be taken into private rooms, or any other secret place making it impossible to regulate. -TVs are usually stationary, limiting amount of accessible time. Internet can be brought along with anyone - anywhere -What is honestly more dangerous for a 21 year old Worker that is to remain celibate for the rest of his life? A TV where he may see cleavage and bad language in a public place, or the internet where he can very easily privately access porn at anytime, anywhere? -"I need my internet to access News when they stop printing newspapers". TV's are great places to watch the news, and per above are much less dangerous. -TV's are watched together with the family (shows like National Geographic & other family shows). With computer and internet - everyone disappears to their own private place and does their own thing. -Internet has "evil "Truth" bashing websites - TV has no such thing.
I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the point. Just using common sense, its ridiculousness.
Again, I'm not condemning either. I'm only pointing out the obvious fallacies and hypocrisy of a person that has access to the internet, condemning someone for having a TV. There is absolutely no limit to the dept of evil a person can access through the internet. There is a limit on TV, but with either, we must learn discernment. If a person is not able to discern, they should probably not have either.

Emy 99% of people here won't even bother skimming this. I largely did this thread for myself. And you admit that the title of your thread was to bait....you're a master at that, aren't you!
