Murhl Howland (I may be misspelling the first name) died last night. No announcement for funeral arrangements yet. I considered putting this on the appropriate board, which is were it surely belongs, but thought I'd post here since so many know him.

No. Murhl or something similar with no "n" in the name. He's been retired from the work for some time and is (was) mostly blind. He's been in PA for the last while.

Murhl Howland is correct spelling.
He was a very nice, kind worker and was over the states of AL-MS when I grew up in Jackson, MS. I recall the last time I saw him. My folks were moving off the convention grounds to OK where we lived, and he came by to say good bye. No other workers came by to do that. He was quite kind to me at that time--even I had left mtgs a year or 2 earlier, and I looked like it (short hair, pants, etc.)

Thanks for the info Brick. I didn't know him as he was from the other side of the US, but he sounds like a class A guy with a real heart of gold. I'm sure he touched many lives.
Thanks for sharing Cherie.
