Who said I was holding onto to that and dwelling on it? I had not thought about that situation in years. I do have a memory just like you. Why is it when someone brings something up from the past about the workers and friends you say they are dwelling on it. Bringing up memories is a bit different than ruminating over the wrongs that you feel others have done to you.The board is not about meetings but the people who were once a part of that group. Oh, there is no question about that!

I trust people to tell the truth, and also to own up.
Returning to the Convention car park to find my car door stoved in, obviously by a red car, and no note left, suggested either a very deaf old driver, or a dishonest person was at the same convention. Whoever did it has long been forgiven, and insurance paid out, no harm done. (Dishonesty by not owning up)
Hearing some young Farmer friends bragging among themselves at a convention lunch how they had sold some cattle off as something they weren't, and how hilarious it was, because the buyer was from another religion. (Fraud)
When Demetrius was in our country, the word told was that he was here to learn the language. No mention was made that he was part of the Greek exodus while they sorted out their financial and overseer issues. I felt like one old man among the Friends who said, "I don't like being lied to, and certainly not by Men of God who claim to have a monopoly on truth". (Deceit)
When the Hymn book revision was rolled out, the word was that it was done for copyright reasons. There were other reasons more pressing like removing Cooney's name, Trinity references, changing God to Lord in "When I survey". Again, the whole truth was suppressed. We were lied to. And it was stupid, because we travel, and people talk. (Tacit lies)
Hearing a senior worker say of William Irvine (USA in the 80's), "No such man existed". (Lie)
Hearing of a relative coming home from work, to find the workers who were staying in his home, removing the radio from his car. The whole console was out on the floor. (Willful Vandalism)
Of course these things are in the minority to what is favourable in the majority. But the Greek and Hymn Book things were milestone events in the church worldwide, and like the founding, could have been handled far better than the incompetence and deceit with which they were.
No person, pastor, church or group has a monopoly on virtue, as human nature is always thereabouts. Am I cynical? No, but I reserve the right to be skeptical, and that includes what I hear from any podium, platform, meeting, convention.

Rat I find you quite dishonest. I was honest with you when you first PM"d me after my father died. You have know who I am for years now. However you will not admit who you are. That leaves me at a disadvantage. How do you know if what I say is not true. Have you gone to your family to check my stories out? How do you know what you have heard about me is true.
How do any of us know that what you say is true???
I have never tried to hide who I am. There are not many large families in NE.

Rat I find you quite dishonest. Dishonest? Point to ant post where I have not been honest and I will correct it or explain it.It was clear from what you had posted and I knew of your family. I thought condolences were in order and proper. No, I will not reveal my identity on a public message board. Not certain regarding the advantage or disadvantage. I, for example, respond to what people post and, with one or two exceptions do not know who the posters are.No - I am not sure who my family does or does not know. As I said, I respond to what you post. I did send a PM following your post regarding your Father.Well, you posted the information. But you are right, I don't know if it is true or not. I can't see why you would lie but you never know. You don't. OK. I think it has been established that you posted enough details that people knew who you were.
