I received this email today from Iver Kleven. I first met he and his wife Bonnie in 1993 at a get together of ex2x2s in Calgary. Afterwards, they invited us to their home. Sometime later, Bonnie, Iver and their daughter came through Oklahoma and we had a very pleasant dinner together. We're so glad Bonnie is now out of her misery and sympathize with Iver in the loss of his soul mate. Also glad we were able to be with her on these occasions.
With a heavy heart - I must tell you - my dear Bonnie has lost her battle with cancer.
Last Monday morning on May 19, 2015 at 12:45 am while here at home with her all family at her bedside - Bonnie passed very peacefully.
With a lifted heart - I must also tell you that although we all have prayed many times for a miracle healing for Bonnie - it was not to be. Instead - here's the miracle that happened.
A short time before her passing, Bonnie softly called out to me saying "iver" "Iver" "Please help me"
"Please help me". I went to her bedside and she quietly whispered to me. "Please take me away from all this"
All I could only tell her was: "Sweetheart - I would if I could but I'm so sorry I can't"
Then I saw she was holding her hands up as if she praying.
I said "Bonnie - Are you praying to be taken to heaven"
She nodded yes and within minutes she was gone.
We are certain that Bonnie's Last Prayer was answered and she is now in heaven.
Her desire since December last year after leaving the hospital for the last time - was to be at home with us.
With so much help and assistance from our local Palliative Home Care Services - she was able to be at home.
All the arrangements for the *Celebration of Bonnie's Life* (It will not be a funeral) has not been finalized. Tentatively the Service will be at held at the Cornerstone Christian Assembly at 2640 Rundlelawn Road North East in Calgary (Canada) on next Saturday, May 30th with the time yet to be determined.
Cherie - you may with my permission post this email to let all who may know us of Bonnie's passing.
