A worker's life viewed through unregenerate eyes is a foolish one, consisting of fanatical ideas, such as becoming poor and homeless, dependent, whose greatest desire is to melt into oblivion, unseen, unnoticed and unknown. In other words, "a nobody going nowhere on a dark night without a lantern." A worker's life as seen by a Christian is one of unadulterated love. Nothing demands more or greater sacrifice than a continual dying. This is the most beautiful life and its beauty becomes more and more evident as the realization comes that it is being spent for others, and for us. A worker's life is all the name implies - work, labor, toil for others in order to bring men to Christ and Christ to men - its one and only objective. A worker's life as seen through the eyes of a worker is first and foremost, the greatest privilege God ever granted to men, and one of serious responsibility. It is a life mingled with joy and sorrow, ups and downs, encouragement and discouragement, life and death, failure and victory, loneliness and friendship, friends and enemies, smiles and tears, heart-aches and heart throbs - all these and more, which in heights rise higher and in depths sink lower than in any other occupation on the face of the earth. A worker's life is a candle lit on both ends, and while it doesn't last so long, it gives a brighter light. ----------------Written in 1948, me thinks. -Elsworth Shilling @@@@shared on facebook lately.

As I read it I thought.....your joking, but then saw it wasn't written by you but someone of self praise if by a worker or worker worship. Reminds me of the verses being seen of men, the praises of men and receiving your reward in this life. Deluded is the word.

All about the sacrifice they have made and very little about the sacrifice Christ made.

Wilson McClung Peter speaks of a very important thing that must be in the life of the servant of God--it must be there. 1 Peter 1:10-12. There is no gospel preached, and there is no soul saved, and there is no extension of the Kingdom of God apart from the preacher preaching the Gospel by the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven...The most important people in all the world today to God are His servants...

Decades ago, thinking idealism would please both God and man, it was of utmost importance to me to do what I thought was my duty to do. In attempting to do that, physical injury, disillusionment, finding so much for which there were no answers, more tears were shed and grief experienced leaving such an existence than ever thought possible. Now, even yet, one of "them" in this forum attempts to add to such sorrows using worker taught and practiced methods.
It simply is amazing. Thankfully, the God I believe in has taught me how corrupt and vile some believing themselves so pure can actually be. Yes, I find this grievious and very sad. On the other hand such bad examples can also bring great relief. Why? Because for me, it reveals to me indeed, I HAVE been shown a better way, my Yahu'shuah. Certainly not myself, not anything of this humanity, rather something of the Spirit, and something I find very grand. Something not comprehended by anyone unable to make the other part of a symbol meaning nothing to them.
For some reading this, these words have no meaning. For others, as so many so long ago drawing a curve on the ground identifying one to another, there is comprehension and understanding beyond these otherwise meaningless words. We do look forward to that which IS yet to come. For some reading here, they would understand these words completely. To me, they are "spiritual" brothers and sisters.qqq

"I thank thee that I am not as f&w's are. 'vile corrupt', even as those that post here are. " " I've found something better, the Spirit, the deeper Yahu shuah stuff. " Yes there are a number who understand & relate to that! Yeah, I suspect that we all have a bit of the Pharisee in us that shows up from time to time... The trick is to see it and acknowledge it. In my experience, it somehow evaporates in the full light of consciousness.

Thank you, "worker" for another example of who and what you are for all to see. Each of us are who and what we are. In that, we all are the same, surely. In no way am I attempting to uphold myself as anything other than one Yahu'shuah, my Lord, God and Savior has called one of "His friends." If anyone wants to know more bad about me, all they have to do is ask me, and I will quickly confess to being unworthy of my God/Savior's grace.
You have chosen to pick on me ever since you began posting here over your own true worker identity, which you no longer have either the decency nor courage to do. People pm me as to what to expect next and they are very correct. Now, like another whom you have chosen to attack freely, I will simply no longer respond whatsoever to the next attempt to spin what I have posted.

"You're picking on me" I hear children using it, but amongst adults not so often. It's called harassment when it's amongst adults.

It is an interesting thing on this forum that as church members we are constantly reading criticism of something that is very dear to us (often the same points gone over and over by the same people). When we on the other hand criticise something that is dear to those people (ex's) it is seen as 'picking on' or 'attacking'. How does that work? Just wondering?

I assume you mean negative criticism in both cases. Would you please name a couple things of which ex's hold dearly that the F&W do not and the F&W criticize negatively?

When people throw stones that bounce back they childishly squeal "he's picking on me". Do they? Are these the same people that supposedly throw stones in glass houses? If so, must be strong glass.

Review, How would Jesus respond to what is written on this board. Please give that some thought before you react with less then Godly responses. Do you think what you have written would ever point anyone to Jesus?

Well that means not just "the workers" ! Well technically it does, by workers I mean all that are doing the work of God! Anyone who through faith is putting God first in their lives, and is living it out, letting Christ in and denying themselves so Gods holy spirit can live within. Repenting of their sins and fighting sin by listening to their conscience and Gods instruction and loving God with all their hearts, and their neighbour as themselves. Feeling it, living it, loving it, and being a good example, preaching the gospel when they get the chance. Doing all this because of their love for God is stronger than their love of the flesh and worldly lusts. And they have given their life to God! Whoever is doing these things, is a worker belonging to God!
