However, if we are talking about the semi-normal over-testosteroned young man out clubbing it up who altered his mind with too much alcohol and/or drugs...they're trying to get in bed (legally, at least initially) with the "hottest" (often aided by provocatively dressed) woman they can. If things progress a bit but ultimately she says "no", it can lead to rape. So you could say the provocative dress played a role, in that it attracts the attention of the criminal.
How do I think I know this? Well, I read the sports page. These athletes aren't preying on the church basement ladies, it's the ones that flaunt it that initially draw their attention and they think they're in for a fun night. I don't think most of them are natural-born rapists, but when they are not in their right mind and for once a woman doesn't give them what they want, they sometime make horrible and disgusting choices. And please let me re-iterate that THIS IS TERRIBLE AND I AM NOT BLAMING THE VICTIM OR SAYING IT'S WHAT THEY SHOULD EXPECT. I'm just saying I believe it does happen.
Some athletes are in legal trouble because of DUI, domestic assault, child abuse, a couple murders. tax evasion, illegal gambling and what have you. I think I heard of members of a college sports team connected with rape and one recent false article on another team. One NFL player had a rape charge. I do not know if provocative dress encouraged that. He was well known as a drug user. That might have been instrumental.
Can you name two athletes with rape charges - outside of the ones I indicated Cases involving athletes and sexual assault
