It would be wonderful if the friends had a place they felt safe to openly discuss issues without being bothered too much by exes' opinions if that is what is keeping them from participating here. Maybe there is one we don't know of? Shouldn't you get that quote under the proper heading of who stated that? Was it review005 who said it, not rational?Yes! So sorry--will fix!

correction.... I have one good friend, good man, open minded liberal man who understands our church is not perfect. He does not think our church is 'The Truth' and 'we are the only ones going to heaven'. review, what do you mean that "he does not think our church is the truth"? Does he think it's false? Why would anyone want to be part of a church that they didn't believe held the truth? Note that review005 used 'The Truth' as has often been used as a sort of name. I'd guess 'the truth' should be understood as "the truth as seen in Jesus" as our hymn says. (Wait, do you use the English hymn book?)

Ouch! I guess that's not much of a recommendation for your posts Rev. And I was just wondering, although you've quoted it like your friend said it, was it you who told him 'we are the only ones going to heaven'? Just interested to know what you think on that. Rational the atheist gave good advice on this christian forum . He said if others were having a crack at him he hoped he would be able to take the high road and not sink to their level. Well if it's of any comfort, apparently it's no recommendation for mine either!

Because The Truth is Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. Our church /fellowship is made up of humans /sinners like myself. I am unable to attribute "The Truth" to anything /anyone except Christ. I am seeking to follow the truth/Jesus Christ. I like how you put that Mr Review but I would go step further. The Truth is God Jesus is the earthly personification of God. Follow God

The so called truth fellowship applies to any church then unless of course you mean the church called the Truth which means it does have a name. Nathan seems to think that the name the Truth is justified in scripture, Of course other churches also use scripture to justify their names.
