Nathan, why in the name of goodness did you choose to respond to a man who states clearly that he doesn't pay much attention to what is written in the bible with no less than 18 references to the bible? Which part of "I no longer pay much attention to what is written in the bible" do you not grasp? Matt10

These are not really things written in the bible. Maybe this more along the lines of what you were thinking about: Revelation 21:8 Matthew 25:46 Matthew 10:28 Revelation 20:15 Romans 6:23 Mark 9:43-48 Revelation 20:14 Matthew 13:50 2 Thessalonians 1:9 Revelation 14:11 Matthew 5:22 Hebrews 10:26-31 Revelation 20:10

Yes, Hell is real and is found in many places right here on Earth. In fact, a close reading of the New Testament indicates that Jesus referenced earthly Hell (gehanna) in many of his most earnest warnings.

Yes,I believe that it is real, but I personally would not like to prove it in person, here on earth or in the other place ; hell no!

There wasn't anything like hell in the OT. Jews didn't/don't believe in hell -- you just die and go to the grave. Maybe not. But this is close: Isa. 34:8-10 For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

But according to Christians there won't be any generation of generations in hell -- or did I miss something along the way?

Just because it says "hell" in the English Bible doesn't mean the original word had anything at all to do with the Christian concept of "hell" If you have the right kind of reference Bible you will find alternative words for every use of the word "hell", most often the word "grave", or "gehenna", which some people think means "hell". But it wasn't -- it was the garbage dump outside Jerusalem where people threw things and it was continuously burning and/or burning. If a criminal dies, rather than give him a decent burial he was thrown in the garbage dump. The word "hell" didn't even originate in Bible territory -- it's a dreaded figure in Norse mythology that seemed to fit the meaning the second millennium English Christians wanted to portray, so they used it.

Sorry - I forgot this part. The "resurrection" has nothing to do with either hell or heaven. All it means is that someone rises from the dead into normal physical life -- even in the case of Jesus. Resurrections were common enough in the ancient world -- according to the Bible a whole lot of other people were resurrected at the same time as Jesus. But when the Jews speak of "the resurrection" they are speaking about their own version of an end of time -- when the Jews who had been most obedient to the Law during their lifetime would rise from their graves to some kind of eternal life on the present earth -- with the "Great Messiah" that they were hoping for, Jews didn't/don't believe people have "souls" separate from their bodies, so it makes no sense for a Jew to believe he will go to either heaven or hell because they never go anywhere that their physical body goes. Even a resurrection works in that belief system -- except when the body has been burned up in the city dump.

It was more like a washing machine for the soul than the christian version of hell. You get beat up pretty badly but it is just a given time (1 year??) and then you come out clean. "Sheol" is a little different. What a surprise! Read about in Numbers 30 or Job 3:11-19. Seems odd that there are different beliefs based on writings by the same god. Second thought - probably not odd at all.

In fact, they believe that even Satan will in the end be returned to heaven (genna).

In fact, they believe that even Satan will in the end be returned to heaven (genna). Hell is a place that Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) has made for the non-believers. Hell has seven doors and seven levels. The highest one is called Jahannam. The lowest one is called Haawiya. All the levels have different names: Jahunnam, Saqar, Nutaa, Hutamah, Sa'eer, Jaheem and Haawiya. Inside Hell there are 70,000 jungles. In every jungle, there are 70,000 sections. In every section there are 70,000 snakes and scorpions. Those snakes are very poisonous, that if they bite someone this poison will stay in them for forty years. They will always bite the non-believers. The scorpions will be as big as donkeys and the snakes will be as big as camels. The Hell fire will be seventy times hotter than the world's fire. On the order of Allah, when the people of Hell will be thrown into Hell, they will wear clothes. The clothes will be marked with fire. The snakes and the scorpions will bite the people. When they will be punished like this, they will die again and again, and they will become alive again and again. This will happen to them over and over again.
In Hell, the least punishment will be that the people will be given fire shoes to wear, with this the person's brain will boil, like water boils in the kettle. The person will think he will be having the most punishment even though this punishment will be the least. In Hell, starvation will trouble people. They will ask for food to eat. They will get Zaqqoom. This is going to be so disgusting that if one drop of this falls on the earth the whole of the earth's things will start to smell and become disgusting. A type of food will be given to them called Daree. This will also get stuck in their throats. To bring it down they will ask for water but they will get hot pus, which will be so dirty that if a bucket full of this falls on the world the whole world will become sour. It is going to be so hot that when the people of Hell put their faces down to drink it their faces will burn. When they drink this, it will cut everything inside their stomach. This will always happen with them. Bad Muslims may go to Hell, but they will not stay in Hell forever. Allah decides how long He wants them to stay. At the end of their punishment, they will go to Heaven. If Allah wants, he can forgive them or punish them. People, who do good deeds to show people, will go to a place in Hell called Hub-Hub. This is a very bad place of Hell and is so terrible that the other parts of Hell ask protection from it. The people of Hell will want to die, but they can't die because the Angel will have slaughtered death on the Day of Judgement. The people who worshipped statues, the stars, the moon etc, in their life on earth, will be with them. Allah wants to show them that they worshipped these things on earth, but now they are with them, but they can't help. The Devil (Shaytaan) will also be in Hell. The people will say to him, "You misled us, we are here because of YOU!" Devil will say, "Allah sent Prophets, and He sent books. You know I was wrong, so why did you follow me?"
The non-believers will ask the Angel's who are in charge of Hell to ask Allah to forgive them. When the Angel's request Allah, to forgive the non-believers, Allah will say to the Angel, "Tell the non-believers, I sent Messengers to you on earth. Why didn't you believe in what they said? So now you will remain in Hell forever." Then the non-believers will remain in Hell forever.
so its only bad muslims that MAY not stay in hell but non-believers burn forever...

Yes, aren't Gods wonderful!! So loving and compassionate. You better hope you are worshiping the right God Wally. But then Muslims better hope they are worshiping the right God too because your God is just as loving and compassionate with non believers. I thought it was interesting how all the things that happen in hell are things that desert people would fear and hate. Allah and his hell is very much a man made phenomenon. All the horrible things that will happen in hell are region specific. Hell is a man made concept of course so that makes perfect sense.

Well, you know, reading, trying to understand, and make logical sense out of the Old Testament is Hell. Yeah, makes you really appreciate how old king Saul finally went crazy. God says "Go kill the Amalekites." "But you said, 'Thou shalt not kill.'" "Just do what I tell you." "Well, I am, but you said thou shalt not kill." "JUST GO KILL THE FRICKING AMALEKITES!"

Why did God tell Saul to kill women, children, and babies? It's a hard sell to defend anyone who orders the killing of women, children and babies. We are more moral now - Happy Mothers Day!

We are more moral now - Happy Mothers Day! you have to understand God is a God of Vengeance in the OT and what better vengeance than to wipe your enemies from the face of the earth...

I thought God was supposed to be a god of love? I agree with you though, the OT God definitely does sound more like a God of Vengeance.

It's a hard sell to defend anyone who orders the killing of women, children and babies. We are more moral now - Happy Mothers Day! We today don't fully know or understand the hybrid of Nephilim giants races/people living in the promised land in the Old Testament. The children of Israel had to fight three types of fierce enemies living in the promised land. 1) the Nephilim Giant demigods race. 2) Different races which worship Satan/Baal, as their gods. God wanted the children of Israel to WIPE OUT the Nephilim/Giant race from the land. And also to wipeout Satan/Baal worshipers race of people. 3) There were other normal human races of people living in the promised land. In Deut. 20:10-16 God commanded the children of Israel to offer these normal human races, peace first but if they refused then put all of the men to death, keep the women for themselves. However, a different story to the Nephilim/hybrid Giants race Cananittes, Philistines, Hitties, Zidonites, Perrites, Jebusites, Amalekites, Anakim, Amorites, Kenites, Edomites, Horim, Emin, Raphaim.... They were to destroy all men, women, children and animals. Because they worship Baal/Satan offer human sacrifices to their gods and God did NOT want the children of Israel get mixed up their human sacrifices gods/Baal Satan worship. Baal worship was rooted in sensuality and involved ritualistic prostitution in the temples. At times, appeasing Baal required human sacrifice, usually the firstborn of the one making the sacrifice (Jeremiah 19:5). In Matthew 12:27, Jesus calls Satan “Beelzebub,” linking the devil to Baal-Zebub, a Philistine deity (2 Kings 1:2). The Baalism of the Old Testament were nothing more than demons masquerading as gods, and all idolatry is ultimately devil-worship (1 Corinthians 10:20). www.gotquestions.org/who-Baal.html It sounds a lot like “animalistic dehumanization” which is a tool to make it easier to act inhumane. Derogatory names are used when mankind acts its worst. The “lizard people” may have been a racial slur and those verses metaphor.

Nathan, while cannibals do exist, you are once again believing some pretty far out stuff!

Nathan, if this was true there would be signs of it in history and there isn't anything to support such a thing other than conspiracy theories and you tube videos. There may have been a race of people that were larger and more of a challenge that scared the Hebrews but that doesn't mean they were cannibals, fallen angels, reptiles or hybrids. David Icke says the Royal family have gills on the sides of their heads. You ever seen their gills Nathan? The new little princess doesn't appear to have any either.

Nathan, I didn't say Yikes because I believed what you wrote, I said Yikes because YOU believe what you wrote. David Icke is not a credible source by any stretch of the imagination.

Yes, I know what you meant. Many people will disagree with you about David Icke.Is David Icke, right? www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Is+David+Icke+right%3FI think more people agree with me about David Icke Nathan, and based on how you view things as being right or wrong, quantity rules, right! Nathan, at one point David Icke is known to have told people he was Jesus reincarnated. Do you believe that?
