SEVEN WONDERS
A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World.” Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet, so she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.
The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."
The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the “Seven Wonders of the World” are:
1. To see
2. To hear
3. To touch
4. To taste
5. To feel
6. To laugh
7. and to love."
The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple, ordinary and take for granted are truly wondrous! A gentle reminder - that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man but are gifts from God.

Thanks for reminder , virgo. So easy to take the many gifts, for granted.
A few years ago, flying over the Grand Canyon, the chopper pilot told us that a common question he gets from his passengers when flying over the canyon is, "When did the government do this ?"

It has all the of earmarks of those saccharin sweet little homilies that are passed around as if they had really happened.

No one except you know this gene. Why have you kept it a secret from us for so long. Since when have you been privy to such secret government information. Only Nathan usually has such info. Careful!!

Alvin Gods Hokomata & Tochopa's formed the Grand Canyon. Two ruling gods of the universe fell out in a deadly quarrel, and one, Hokomata, determined to drown the world. The other, Tochopa, prepared a shelter for his daughter Pukeheh by hollowing out a tree, stocking it with provisions, and sealing her inside. Then came the flood, fed by "cataracts, rivers and deluges" making a thousand times as much noise as the Colorado River that is their home. The waters rose ever higher, but at least one woman was safe. Eventually the waters stopped flowing, and then they breached their boundaries and rushed away, leaving the Grand Canyon behind. grand-canyon-vacation-information.com/havasupai-legend.html

A gentle reminder - that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man but are gifts from God. Unless you lose your hand and a kind person prints you a 3-D scaffolding to create a new hand. I wonder if the parents of an child created by in vitro fertilization would feel the same way? Now that the chinese have a track record of using gene-editing technique known as CRISPR/Cas9 work people will be able to design the child they want. I wonder if anyone will raise ethical questions.
