As to the subject question: Make your own definitions and story rules . . . adjust accordingly.

Very simple. I am a Williston, but I am not my father. Yes, that is true but you're NOT Divine or God. Your father is NOT God either.Christ is divine/God. Jesus is BOTH Man and Divine/God. God is Jesus Father. Jesus is God because God is His Father. Christ is NOT the Father and the Father is NOT the Son but Both are God.Okay. Angels are divine. But they're not gods.

divine 1[ diˈvīn ] ADJECTIVE
1.of, from, or like God or a god: Nathan -- you do not understand your own definition: the words "of", "from", and "like" do NOT mean "equal to" "Apples" come from trees -- but they are NOT trees. "Oranges" are like "tangerines" -- but they are NOT tangerines. "divine" is an adjective and "God" and "god" are nouns -- they cannot mean the same thing.
Heroes with divine powers are not "power". Heroes are "humans" and the "power" is from the gods. The reason it's called divine is because it isn't their own -- if comes from somewhere else, but it doesn't make them gods. So -- it's a name. It wasn't given to him by God. Lots of people are called "Salvador" -- it doesn't mean they are a savior. Or it may have reference to a deity.[9] Even angels in the Psalms are considered "divine" or "elohim", as spirit beings, in God's form. And redeemed Christians, when taken to heaven as immortalized born-again believers, according to Biblical verses, are said to partake of the "divine nature". (Psalm 8:5; Hebrews 2:9; 2 Peter 1:4) And the term can denote Godlike nature or character.
Traditional Christian theology did not start with Jesus and has little to do with Jesus. You have to use your imagination -- you may come up with the notion that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost were conjoined triples who split up. There's a market for that theology.

Okay. Angels are divine. But they're not gods. A friend of mine sent this to me.
Angels do not have the divine nature. Angels are spiritual creatures. Created. Not divine.
~~ Jesus/Christ is God/divine. Christ/God is creator of ALL the angels. The angels are NOT part of the Godhead but Christ/Jesus is.Linguistic instructor: William Willbur A brief study in linguistics1) The FATHER's True Hebrew Name is: written..........YHVH spoken...….....YAHUAH pronounced....YAH-OO'-AH 2) The SON's True Hebrew Name is: written..........Y'SHUAH spoken..........YAHU'SHUAH pronounced....YAH-OO'-SHOO-AH This sacred name was gradually changed to "Je-Zeus Khristos" (Jesus Christ) by the pagan masses who converted and joined the originally Jewish Messianic SectRoman Catholic Christianity was born, with a mixture of pagan customs and traditions Constantine the Great, was a Zeus worshiper, who converted to Christianity which resulted in worshipers of the sun god, Zeus, entering into the Christian religion YAHU'SHUAH'S abbreviated form of Y'SHUAH became "Y'Zeus" or Je-Zeus which eventually became "Jesus" in English The correct name of the Messiah, YAHU'SHUAH, is the only name by which he was known to his disciples, though he has several titles such as Rabbi, Son of Man, Savior, Anointed, King of KingsNot even once did he ever hear himself addressed as "Jesus Christ" even when the Greek proselytes went to Philip and said, "We would see YAHU'SHUAH" (John 12:20, 21) Very concisely summarized.

I am divine but I am not God, so why can't Jesus be divine and not be God? Christ is the Creator of the Universe, and all living things, therefore He is Divine/God= Supreme Being.
Definition of God
1) Capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality: as a. Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe b. Divine Principle ruling over all as eternal Spirit : infinite Mind 2) A being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers and to require human worship 3) A person or thing of supreme value. 4) A powerful ruler.
Snow, what are you divine of? which kind of divine?I'm simply divine! It's just another word for being wonderful. I'm not being serious Nathan. Just being silly as it's midnight here and I'm tired and everyone is taking this trinity thing so seriously. God is supposed to be about love, end of story. No one is going to hell for not thinking Jesus is God so it's all good. good night everyone!

Yes, Jesus said, "ye are Gods!" Humans are created in the image of God. We receive divine spirits of God when we accept Jesus as our Lord God Savior. This is another example of sloppy quotation Nathan. Jesus didn't say "ye are Gods". He quoted scripture that included those words.

Jesus was also referring to the spirit in the heart, if you have the holy spirit you have God within you. We are the temple of the living God. But we're not God!

Well to get our earthly minds around this subject, we may have to assume that there is a spiritual DNA as well as an earthly DNA. Would that settle the argument? ps. I am no expert on such matters, so as I very often say, such knowledge is too wonderful for me.

Also a spirit wouldn't have DNA, it's not flesh! And we have a spirit within that's not flesh! And the Holy Spirit in our heart is from the Father which is divine! Jesus only had DNA when he was here on earth! We have 23 pairs of chromosomes packed into each of our trillions of cells. One member of each pair came from mommy, the other member of each pair came from daddy. Obviously, since Jesus did not have a human father responsible for his life, his DNA was provided by God. As one poster above mentioned, if God created Adam (who had no human father or mother) with DNA intact, why could he not supply the necessary DNA to Jesus? Hannah Do you think naturally that Jesus would have just looked like Mary? Or do you think God would have given him a look of Joseph also? I believe Adam did have a father and a mother!

There was NO Joseph human DNA in Jesus.I believe Adam did have a father and a mother! Adam was created in the image of God. God/Elohim said "Let us create man in OUR image." Adam is a homo Sapiens we're taken after the image of Adam... and Adam taken after the image of God.Yes exactly created in the image of God! It doesn't say an was the first man on earth! I'm not getting into this argument with you. That's what I believe

You do realize that to someone who doesn't believe the Pagan theology, this whole discussion is a bit ridiculous.

You do realize that to someone who doesn't believe the Pagan theology, this whole discussion is a bit ridiculous. The Godhead= Father, Christ/Son, and Holy existed before the foundation of the world. The pagan 3 gods theology came about 5000 yrs ago.Of course. And the "Christians" picked it up 1700 years ago. The Pagans must have known the Christians were going to have it revealed to them, so they decided to believe it first? When one is talking about "years ago", 5000 comes before 1700 -- not after it. Actually, this trinity matter was not the greatest thing in Pagan theology -- it was just something a few religious people like, so they adopted it as a way of accepting Paul's "christ" theology.
