Just learned that Fred Miller died on March 20 2015 at the age of 85. Fred was a former worker. After leaving the work, he married Ruth and together they had a son (Thurston), who survive him.
Fred and Ruth began questioning 2x2ism in the 1970s, being particularly disturbed by the false "gospel" being preached. They came into contact with Doug and Helen Parker, and contributed material to what would become The Secret Sect. They were the original distributors of Parker's book and publicized it throughout North America. Fred once said that he hoped to do his utmost to make sure that every person he had influenced as a worker got to know the truth about "The Truth".

Obituary published in Tri-City Herald on Apr. 1, 2015:
Fred Edward Miller, age 85, our beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2015 at Canyon Lakes Restorative in Kennewick WA due to complications with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Disease.
Fred was born on November 18, 1929 in Martinsville, Indiana to Roy Ralston and Mary Margaret Wood Miller, the first of nine children.
Throughout his high school years he lived with his grandparents, Elmer and Daisy Voyles Miller in order to help them. In high school he was active in sports - football, basketball, and track. He worked at Grassyfork Fisheries, a world famous goldfish hatchery, tending the arboretum and gaining a lifelong love of horticulture. As a high school senior he accepted Christ as his Savior and Substitute before God.
Following high school he went to a welding school in Cleveland, Ohio, and then held a welding position at the Bailey Meter Company in Cleveland.
In 1950, he joined the Navy serving in the Korean War on the destroyer, USS Ozbourn, working in the forward boiler room. He volunteered as chaplain of the ship, conducting weekly services. On his discharge in 1953 he had attained the rank of second class petty officer. For the six years following his service he was a full time worker in Christian home missions in northern Idaho, north central Washington, Bellingham, and the Olympic Peninsula.
On August 21, 1959, he married Marilou Ruth Donart in Council, Idaho. They lived in Pasco for three years before moving to Kennewick in 1962. He worked for the Boise Cascade pulp mill in Wallula for one year, then trained for and purchased the Simplified Business Service franchise for southwestern Washington and northeastern Oregon, preparing taxes for businesses and individuals for 39 years.
Fred led weekly Bible studies in his home for 28 years. He had a great interest in helping people to understand and to trust in the Good News that one's acceptance with God was based entirely on Christ's perfect earthly obedience to God's Law, in their stead both in His righteous earthly life and in His atoning death. And that this acceptance was acquired simply by trusting that Good News.
Fred will be greatly missed. We shall never forget the warmth of his presence, his most engaging smile, the twinkle of good cheer in his eye, and his great love of the Scripture.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Ruth, by their son, Thurston (Bonnie) and their four grandchildren, Salinda, Koert, Finley, and Reed of Granger Indiana. He is also survived by one sister, Sue Rodenbeck of Trafalgar, Indiana and three brothers, Jesse Miller of Kokomo, Indiana, Rex Miller and David Miller, both of Martinsville, Indiana and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, Barbara and Daisy, and two brothers, Paul and Michael.
