Two Indianans killed Tuesday night in crash near Woodbine, Georgia State Patrol says
Two people were killed Tuesday night when their vehicle left Interstate 95 south of Woodbine and struck some trees, the Georgia State Patrol said. Sonia Guerrero, 53, of McCordsville, Ind., was driving a 2001 Toyota Highlander south on I-95 about 11:30 p.m. when it left the roadway about a mile south of the Woodbine exit, the state patrol said.
The Highlander went into the median where it struck some trees, the state patrol said. Guerrero was killed as was her sole passenger, 24-year-old Darin Printz, also of McCordsville, the state patrols said. The investigative report indicated that Printz was wearing safety belts but Guerrero was not.
I was so sad to learn about this.
Darin is the son of Ex-2x2 Fred & Deanna Printz (who are divorced now)
We spent a couple nights in their home in the early 1990s in Greenville, Indiana (which is near McCordsville)
Deanna's exit story is in the book Reflections, Chapter 45, Page 627
I have long been a good friend of Fred's sister Bobbie and her husband Duane Olson.
Sadly, their son Rick Olson, died a couple years ago in an auto accident in his early 30s.
Darin & Rick were first cousins. She wrote me this:
"Yes this was Fred & Deanna's son Darin. He was 34. Died in an auto accident with his girlfriend in Georgia. They had moved to Florida. She was driving and fell asleep at the wheel - 11:30 p.m. February 17th. Fred is having a horrible time with this. He talked Darin and his girlfriend into moving to Florida with him and Kim. Darin was doing awesome! Just like Rick, he went out in the best time of his life."
