First US overseer "born in the USA" as Bruce Springsteen sang about. I wonder if the Brits hated to give up overseer positions to workers in the colonies?? Who are some of the earliest underling overseers below Jack Carroll and George Walker? Charlie Hughes, James Beacom, George Fyffe, Nichol Jardine, Charlie Mitchell, Willie Wilson, EW "Willie" Webb, John Doak,Hugh Matthews etc.

MAINE: R. Buchanan CONNECTICUT: A. Corcoran, NEW YORK: Charles Hughes, PENNSYLVANIA: Tom Noble, VIRGINIA: Eddie Armstrong,
CAROLINAS: Sandy Dougal, GEORGIA: Oliver McRitchie, FLORIDA: G. Farring,
OHIO & WEST VA: Andrew Ramsay KENTUCKY: Jim Beacom, INDIANA: Fred Croft
ILLINOIS: Albert Sexton, MICHIGAN: Jim Hamilton, WISCONSIN: Sam Charlton, MINNESOTA: Robert Thompson, NORTH DAKOTA: Walter Jardine, A IOWA: James Fawcett, MISSOURI: Tom Patterson, TEXAS: Jim McLeod, OKLAHOMA: Fred Kinglake,
KANSAS: John Doak, NEBRASKA: Nicol Jardine, SOUTH DAKOTA: Harry Holland, NEW MEXICO: John Patterson,
COLORADO: George Walker,
WYOMING: Robert Stuhr, MONTANA: Tom Lyness,
IDAHO: Willie Fullerton,
WASHINGTON: Jack Carroll,
OREGON: John Bruce, CALIFORNIA: Ed Cornock, ARGENTINA: Jack Jackson,
JAMAICA: Willie Snedden,
^^^^^ Assuming the 1922 list above has overseer names in front, these men would have been overseers. Fred Croft of Indiana was probably American born..I think he left the work and is the grandfather of Michigan overseer Greg Harger. The Crofts owned the old Hillsboro Indiana convention that was finally just a one day event.

Emy, was that Robert Farring's father?
My father was in the work with Bob Farring in Kentucky. I think that Bob had a twin brother named George in the work at the same time.
Bob married & had a son named Bob who lives in North Dakota now but did live in Virginia before he retired.
