Why do I exist? Is there a God? Am I unique? Why is life unfair? Why do I feel alone? Why don't I do the right thing? Is there life after death?
God has answers for you if you seek Him. ken

Why do I exist?
Because God saw I was wonderful enough to create me and give me the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful life. My definition of cause. I exist for His glory. To me it is like why do we have children? To enjoy them.
Is there a God? Yes, there is a God. Look everywhere, look at the human body, look at the sky, only a great and mighty source could have created it.
Am I unique? yes, I am unique - fearfully and wonderfully made. I have my own unique DNA. Why is life unfair? The rain falls on the just and unjust. God didn't promise a bed of roses. A lot of the unfairness is man's doing. The result of evil men. It is unfair because God also made the devil, so no God was not fair to create the devil.
Why do I feel alone? Alone, God said it is not good for man to dwell alone so created a help mate called women, or woe to men. A help mate or thorn in the flesh I am not sure but God saw his creation was good. Why don't I do the right thing? Because my flesh is weak but I am trying but I am not perfect yet. Is there life after death? Yep, and I am looking forward to that too....looking forward to meeting the good people who have gone before, not the bad ones though. Better make peace with all men while I am here in case I have to be with them forever in the next life.

I had spent many years "seeking" answers from "god" and received nothing but a lot of contradictions.
I finally received answers but weren't from any god.

When someone expresses a pov different from yours, does it feel to you like that person is trying to "harm" you? Do you consider having to listen to people expressing pov's different than yours to be a form of "suffering"?

God has answers for you if you seek Him. ken Born and raised in a deeply and widely atheist environment, I wondered about life, the meaning of it, the origin of it, and about God from earliest childhood. Yes, there are answers, and yes, they have to be sought with the whole heart. On the other hand, the faith and understanding that are simply passed down from one generation to another and never questioned and proven for ourselves are not sufficient for the true needs of the soul - even though they may feel safe and comfortable.

Ever wonder why religion has answers which can not be questioned, but science keeps asking questions even after they find answers? There are scientists that stop questioning certain conclusions, and there are people of faith who never stop questioning - asking questions for the purpose of clearing up misconceptions and of gaining more understanding. To me, that some or most scientists stop questioning certain conclusions doesn't invalidate scientific discoveries of how the material world works, and that some or most religious people don't question their religious traditions or seek to know more doesn't nullify my own discoveries of how the spiritual world works.

Interesting. I was born and raised a believer in a deeply Christian environment and my earnest, whole-hearted wonderings brought me to an understanding that there is no god. I prayed to God with my whole heart, with my being, trusting that he wiuld hear me as I believed he had heard me before...and this is what I found.

Why do I exist?
Because my mother and father got up to something – the same something as everyone else’s did.
Is there a God?
Yes there is. There are numerous Gods but only one true one. The only true God is the God of Nature. Other Gods such as the God of Islam, the Christian God and Jehovah exist only in the mind of the believer. Outside of the minds of those who believe, they really do not exist.
Am I unique?
Yes, but no more or less unique than anyone else. And no more unique than any animal.
Why is life unfair?
For most of us life isn’t unfair. For most of us we are the lucky ones. If life was really fair most of us would have a lot less that we have and other less fortunate people in the world would have a lot more.
Why do I feel alone?
I rarely feel alone, even when alone. If I ever feel alone in the universe it is because there is no loving God who cares for me.
Why don't I do the right thing?
What is the right thing? I generally try to do the right thing, at least in my own mind. Most of us try to do the right thing most of the time. If I ever don’t do the right thing, I often feel guilty and then go try to put it right.
Is there life after death?
Is there life before birth? You first have to explain the term ‘life’. There is certainly no life as we know it after death. Could I be reincarnated to live life again as an elephant or a grasshopper? Possibly, but there is absolutely no way I can know.
God has answers for you if you seek Him.
God has absolutely no answers for you whether you seek Him or not. The Bible may have some answers to some questions for you but not necessarily good or reliable ones. You may also get answers from the God inside your head but the source of such answers is internal not external and therefore you may as well ask yourself. If God really had the answers He would have provided them by now and ended the all the confusion among those who profess to follow Him.

I don't like mocking and arrogant responses either, whether they come from theists, agnostics or non-theists. The belief I can encourage is the belief that we all have much more in common with each other than not, despite what seem like gaping differences in points of view, and despite disparaging beliefs one might hold about the "other."
