I don't know why people are trying to force those of of that don't think gay is ok to accept their opinions. I accept that other people have their opinions and don't try to change them. I find same sex and people with animals and even groups sickening and I will never feel any different - BUT live and let live. Approve of it or like it NEVER! God made that area as waste disposal not recreational it's like playing in the toilet. Would Jesus approve probably not God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah.

I think we have a feeling in common here -- when I conjure up an image of you, sex, and "that area", trust me, I am sickened to the point of vomiting all over my keyboard. Far, far from trying to force you to accept my opinion about the gays, my earnest wish is that you continue to abstain from such activities. The universe thanks you.

Heavenhelpus: The vagina is also used for waste disposal for a week out of every month. Really, when you think about it logically outside of a state of arousal, sex in any form is just plain weird.
Also, many heterosexuals practice anal sex, and some homosexuals, such as lesbians, don't necessarily.
I'm surprised when people use such derogatory and condemning language about an act that brings pleasure to some people, and doesn't hurt anyone else in the slightest.

Funny thing, the penis is also involved with waste disposal. In fact, some might say that that whole area of the human body is nothing short of a "design" nightmare! If what you say is true, it is a wonder that God didn't command that boy babies be given a urostomy* to go along with removal of the foreskin! * urostomy: a surgical re-routing of the urinary tract to empty through a stoma in the abdominal wall. Men who have had a urostomy, for example, no longer pass urine through their penis.

"Love thy neighbor".
If indeed people followed this rule "Love thy neighbor", (as themselves) wouldn't they want to follow what makes them happy? If being married to person they love makes them happy, shouldn't they want the same for their "neighbor?"
You want my neighbour to marry my wife? I don't think so. It would be a good idea if your wife got a divorce from you before your neighbor married your wife.

Without equivocation we can say from Scripture that Jesus Christ would not condone or legitimise same sex marriage. However, Christians must learn that same sex practice is no different than any other sin and unless repented of will come under the wrath of God. Therefore we must reach out to those engaging in homosexual practices as we reach out to others engaged in sinful activities and give them hope that they can know redemption because of what Christ did for them at Calvary.
While we can use many Scriptures the most significant one is: [9] Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, [10] nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. [11] And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV)
Here we have the list and then the past tense, ‘and such were some of you’ but they have been changed by, ‘But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.’
The good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that it always gives the sinner hope for it is the power of God for salvation. Romans 1:16

Honestly, the only scripture that cites the immorality of Sodom and Gomorrah was Jude 1:7 in this list.

It is true it says they did abominable things, but it doesn't name what they were.

DMG ~ I have also studied the same thing regarding Sodom and Gomorrah in recent months and found it interesting that the things Jesus stressed were their pride and ease due to abundance of goods; however, their lack of concern for the poor and needy stood out all the more due to their abundance! I feel similar attitudes can be viewed today within our society and abroad in the same lack of sensitivity for the needs of the poor and needy and those suffering great hardship within the world due to poverty and deprived conditions.

Nathan ~ I realized the story of the two angels visiting Lot gives that impression and I don't entirely disagree with your opinion nor does the apologist below. However, did you notice that Lot, the supposedly righteous one, offered his own daughters to this crowd of perverts outside his door! In my opinion, that would seem outrageous! Also, if they men were indeed divine visitors, I'm sure they could have handled themselves in this situation and it appeared they did? These angelic visitors blinded all these men at Lot's house and ordered Lot and his family to immediately depart the city before its destruction.

I would like for her, and if you want to, give us the verses where Jesus spoke of the subject. I mean the actual verses please.
I was going to post the verses for you but Faune beat me to it. Thanks, faune. It was God the Son/Jesus who appeared to Abraham and told him about the destruction of the people who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah cities in Gen 19. After the God the Son talked to Abraham, God the Father gave the order for the angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Gen 19:5 They called out to Lot and asked, “Where are the men who came to visit you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!”
1) I read from the book of Enoch... Sodom and Gomorrah sins were NOT showing hospitality to strangers who enter to their cities as visitors. They did NOT welcome their guests, some of the visitors were robbed and killed. 2) The practice of homosexuality acts.
Yeh, sure you were, Nathan!

In fact, seeing as most people cannot agree on what the bible literally says (not to mention whether it originally said what it literally says), I'm not really sure there is such a thing as a true literal interpreter of the bible. Most bible literalists just use certain passages in the bible to justify their own prejudices. I dislike your reference to "your christian lot". Condemning all of christianity based on the prejudices of some christians is a gross generalization. I have two neighbors who are gay and episcopal priests. They would likely take exception to your inference that christians are ISIS-like and would be killing homosexuals if given half a chance.

And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

The most common response to what color is the sky if blue. That does not make it true. How did sodomy come to mean anal sex between a man and a woman? How did sodomy come to mean oral sex between two people? Why does sodomy in German only refer to bestiality? Simple - people defined it. It could have been part of it.This could also be viewed as a very inhospitable act. It would have been, after all, not a sexual act but an act to force submission and exhibit power over the strangers. This explanation requires that all of the males in the city were homosexuals. Does that make sense?
