Nathan, I am sorry to disappoint you, but this letter was not written by some powerful force within the church, but by my husband and I. It was the response of elders and later of the friends in our field that made us realize that our effort was not welcome and that there was nobody else who would join us in openly asking for change. We hope and pray that some day our little effort combined with efforts of others will produce a real change in the church.

You told us about it in the past. Thanks, for your good, nicely done letter concern on CSA when you were professing to those within in the fellowship. Your effort did not go unnoticed, I have posted your letter on my 2x2 CSA page. Thanks, again. I had tried to warn the workers and the friends about CSA within the 2x2 church 15 yrs ago on my website/message board. I talked to Lyle S. the overseer in Texas, about CSA when he was at Boring convention last yr. He has been trying to educate workers in USA about taken CSA course on line for themselves. They are listening, and trying to get many overseers and workers on the bandwagon to eradicate CSA within our ministry/fellowship.
Many of the older workers, and workers do NOT understand the horrendous, long lasting effects on the victims for years to come. They can't forget the traumatic horrific experiences overnight like many of the workers believe they can. It takes professional help and with a stronger faith in God to overcome CSA situation. Thanks Nathan for your efforts. However, that the workers didn't understand the effect of sexual abuse on a child is not an excuse for allowing abusers to remain in the ministry or fellowship. It does not take a degree in psychology to be outraged and horrified by sexual abuse of children. It takes an honest heart. When the main goal in dealing with issues is to preserve the image of being "the perfect way" and to protect the untouchable status of the ministry, honesty is not welcome or appreciated. Until the ministry is willing to go through a painful process of self-examination, until it decides whether it wants to serve itself or the people, and until it cleans up its ranks from the immoral, it will not have the integrity to deal with abuse, except as it is forced to by secular laws.

Most of the powers that be seem to be struggling so very hard for the status quo and do not realize that they are the very ones that will be responsible for the complete failure of the 2x2 relgion to thrive.....the young will not tolerate their families of young children to be continually put into situation like so many of us have had done to us where a worker is not trustworthy and we didn't know that until it was too late! As I know of some who have completely lost their moral eptitude, I believe tha tthis is that which is keeping them from changing their ways...for they would have to fire themselves, I suppose!

The first time we sat before a teacher/preacher outside of 2x2s sect, what did he open his talk with? "Hope you have all got a pen and paper". "If you hear anything you may feel not aptly clear enough,or want to add or question any point, dot it down and we will make ourselves available for a chat after we finish,so do stay behind and share your thoughts over a coffee". It blew our sox off. No the culture of a sect so inground in exclusivsm (judgement of others, instead of embracing them as souls),the belief or deluded as only us and as people become enlightened to this, their future as an unbiblical lot will disintegrate into a few ashes.

I've found workers to be very defensive whenever there's an attempt to discuss anything meaningful. They want folks to just listen and soak it up without giving any feedback. I'm not saying that to condemn anyone - just to point out there is room for improvement.

Not repairable,no not repairable. They are theologically broken and to much biblically missing to seek improvement,Their lack of open honest discussion, their coverups and denials, worse if scripturally challenged. To know Leitch was supporting in having Barry's jail sentence suspended through a criminal psychologist (who has represented underworld figures, inc Tony Mokbel),yet Leitch knew Warrigul knew of 12MORE victims of his sick crimes. This is just an example, like the registered names they deny or give weak excuses for. They are drowning in their so removed from N/T teachings, cant be fixed but we must not stop helping their poor mind controlled bound followers, some how liberation is available via Gods Grace. Sadly some appear to rejoice as bound prisoners of deceiptions. The have never felt, understood Gods Liberating Power.
