Thank you, kind people. It took 6 years breeding before I discovered the pup described capable of possible hypoglycemic training. Not likely to find another. Buying one is impossible for me as they are in the range of 20 gs. He alerted for me awaking me just late last week with very low blood sugar. (about 30) shaking and sweating profusely. Miss him greatly, he was known by all as very kind and loving very obediant dog.

It would appear that there is an organization in your area that teaches people to train their dogs to become hypoglycemic detecting service dogs. I don't see ant restriction on the type of dog to be trained.

Thank you, sir. I did not know about them. If able, I will check them out.
Sure miss my little friend. I have a little 3 pound loving daughter of his. She, (Sophie,) is a two year old blonde double smooth coat. Sophie has made her bed with me the last two nights making no effort to get down nor away, seemingly knowing somehow that she is being allowed to take Tyke's place.

Katie's sister-in-law just passed away. Katie and her three brothers are quite close, including their wives. Surely life is passing, oh, so quickly. It was not something unexpected, as she had lain in a hospice, unresponsive over the last week.

Deepest condolences to the family, it is a debt we all have to pay but it never come easy for loved ones left behind.
Yes , it brings to mind that old hyme # 103: Time Is Passing.
Time is passing, oh , so quickly! Days and years glide swiftly by; Make the most of every moment, For thou very soon must die. Life's short span will soon be over, Never to return again; Do not spend thy noble powers on earth's worthless treasure vain. Chorus: Buy the gold undimmed, unchanging; Buy the spotless raiment white; Rich and clothed, with eyes anointed, Daily walking in God's pure light.
May She rest peacefully and rise in glory..

About a month since my last post here.
Second half of cataract surgery is progressing, may not have to even wear glasses, and everything seems so bright!
Thinking of you all here, wishing everyone well, though I know that is not likely to be.
House is waiting for some drier weather, I am waiting for more strength after these eye-vision improvements, still not allowed to do any work, another week or two. Do feel quite depressed and forgotten, sigh. More old friends have passed from this awareness.

I for one am pleased you're still with us Dennis and lovely to hear your eye surgery seems to have been a success. Have just heard from an old friend who has also has their 2nd cataract done and can see beautifully, has had glasses for so long they are going to get clear ones with tint for the sunshine☺. Hope you find some strength soon to achieve that which you wish xx

Thank you, very much, ma’am!
I may still need corrective lenses, and definitely will need sunglasses, but that is a minor thing. Anyone considering cataract surgery, I’d have it done again without a second thought, smile! My “darkened windows” are a thing of the past!
Someone wants to give Katie and me six Alpacas, a $500.00 electric shear, and their expensive trained Great Pyrenees guard dog! Katie is also buying me a ride on lawn mower as soon as I can ride on it to mow, All those things are exciting, and here I am a cripple! Have something to work on for sure. I really like Alpacas, they are kind of a cross of a sheep and a goat. Gentle, curious, not as fearful as sheep nor aggressive as goats, and Katie has always wanted them but they have just been too expensive to get! We have a spinning wheel and accessories. Sure hope it all works out okay for her!
Bye, now, thanks again for your kind words!

Bye, now, thanks again for your kind words! Really glad to hear about the success of your eye surgery. My birth mom had it done and really loved the change. She did wear glasses after with just glass, mostly because she was so used to glasses, not because she needed them. Alpacas! How exciting! We have long time friends that raise them. Beautiful animals and I love the socks, mitts and scarves I get from them. Sure hope it all works out good for Katie! Take care Dennis

Katie has concluded she cannot handle the Alpacas, and I cannot promise to help her, so that deal is off. It was only for her sake that I agreed to it; smile, if I were younger, but then a lot of things would be different. Some days it seems as if life is to end that very day, other days, ... well you all know what they are like!
Ahh, life!

Aw that's too bad, but I totally understand how it would be too much.
