well we know there are horses in heaven so anything is possible...as to souls that can be saved i doubt it....
Rev_19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

This is called theology.
But it does mention something somewhere in the Bible about the souls of animals -- but then, that was in the OT, so that would mean they were just living creatures that die and are gone. We'll have to consult the Greeks on this one.

will there be animals in heaven, what is do you believe?? W. Tell ~ I did a thread on this topic over a year ago and got quite a response. Our family pet beagle died after many years with us and I really wondered if I would see her again someday in Heaven. She was so human in many ways and very loving, that I couldn't help but think she had a soul to go along with her unique personality.

All Humans are animals, with some it's more apparent.

Yes, absolutely they do. Actually all physical life has spirit that continues on. I felt the spirit, or energy, of a pet cat on the evening after he was euthanized. I felt him jump up on my head just like he would do when he was living.

Dogs probably have souls.
I doubt cats do.
I'm not sure cats even have hearts.

Definitely anything that has the breath of life has a soul and all souls will be gathered by and/or to the one who gave the breath of life at the time of birth, hatching, etc
even fish have breath so they are living souls.....

I don't like dust mites nor bedbugs, lice, termites, bean bugs and a host of other large & small critters.
I AM not the one that created them & I am not the one who wants all creation to LOVE me so they can can be 'saved' and live in some afterlife!

According to Genesis this is not the case. Fish, squid, plankton, and probably whales, dolphins, etc., were not considered to be creatures wherein was the breath of life.

Gene ~ It sounds like Rational is rubbing off on you with his lack of fondness for our kitties? But. how can you not like these furry creatures? Oh, I love my kitties! I have two of them, and they're the best. I love them for their intellect! And make no mistake -- they love me because I feed them, brush them, and clean their litter box. Not because they have a heart. Think about it. Have you ever actually seen a cat's heart? Didn't think so. That proves it.

Gene ~ I get the picture! LOL We also have a couple cats as pets who have been a part of our family for years. They're pretty independent and loving when they feel in the mood or are hungry and want to be feed. They also have their own personalities and are as different as siblings within a family. That's one reason I feel cats have some sort of soul due to their unique personalities, likes and dislikes, etc. After all, isn't that what a soul is all about ~ a person's unique personality that makes them who they are in this world? This one is a feisty little one like our new kitty in the house.

I'm not sure about cats anymore! The last couple of nights mine has brought a mouse in to eat on my hardwood floor. He doesn't like the heart, so nearly broke my neck slipping on it as I round the corner this morning. Yuck!!! Not impressed. I'm going to have to deactivate his ability to come and go on his own!!

Snow ~ Was that your black cat with the morning surprise for you? Our young calico cat prefers birds that she will lay on the welcome mat outside the back door in proud display of her hunting skills. The birds decorate our cars in the driveway whenever she's prowling outside in retribution. LOL

Guess he thinks he's contributing lol. However, eating only the parts he likes and leaving the rest on my floor is not acceptable!! Now I just need to get him to understand that haha.

Guess he thinks he's contributing lol. However, eating only the parts he likes and leaving the rest on my floor is not acceptable!! Now I just need to get him to understand that haha. Some cats do have discerning abilities. I had a black spotted cat that came into the house one Sun. afternoon with his mouth full of something we weren't sure of what it was! My mom told me to get a hold of the cat before he ate it and check it out in case it was a piece of poisoned meat or something. After Muffy laid it down I just pulled him away from it for a bit and as I looked at it, it turned out to be two pieces of cooked celery and the aroma was quite fresh....it'd just been thrown out of someone's door after they took up their Sun. dinner roast. It smelled quite much like cooking roast and I told mom that it didn't seem to be laced with anything but beef juices. So we let Muffy keep his prize and I didn't think he'd eat it after he started on it as it was celery, but that cat ate ever last bite of it. So that taught us to give the cats our roast seasonings also!
