Cherie! Didn't you know that is about the Irvinites? That's not about the 2&2 worker group! (TIC!)

My guess is the thread title gives little credit to 2x2 worker group, but then again when blind in one eye and can't see with the other . . . lolz

There was a group called the Irvingites, note the 'g', that followed one Edward Irving. So I Google'd "Irvingites Baltimore" and got this article, which mentions the same incident as above, but in relation to the Irvingites, note the 'g', but then indicates they were followers of one W. Irvine, who "used some offensive language toward the women of Brooklyn". Confused? I know I am. news.google.com/newspapers?id=I8VUAAAAIBAJ&sjid=uI8DAAAAIBAJ&pg=5123%2C4817295(The brief article will appear on the left of your screen.)

Here's another similar article by a different newspaper. As early as 1908 they were being identified with the founder, Wm Irvine - and called "Irvinites." This article tells how Founder Irvine said some offensive things about the Brooklyn women. Guess they hadnt put out the memo regarding the pact of silence about Irvine yet.
