Imagine it. An intelligent alien lands on your lawn, whatever that might be. What impact does that have on you?
Obviously what the alien has to say is crucial: declare war, declare peace, maybe even declare your lawn a no go zone according to intergallatic law. What would be the impact of it simply being there, having landed though.
Growing up as a 2by2 for me I think it would have really challenged my world view. Not that I knew or ever heard any direct rejection of the aliens but I generally had that impression they didn't fit with that world. When I grew up evolution was being questioned so whether aliens existed or not wasn't a part of testimonies. Now I wonder. I assume mondern day 2by2s might have a different take on that. What about christianity: you'd think if god made life on other planets it might have been mentioned somewher.
Now, personally I am inclined to think it likely to be possible. So it wouldn't blow out my world view necessarily. Not unless the alien told us to line up and the sheep would be sorted from the goats kinda thing. That would distress me.
Anyway, thoughts on the alien on your lawn?

Well as long as they weren't there to kill me I think I would just be fascinated. Lots of questions. It wouldn't change any world view because I'm sure there is life other than ours in this huge universe. I just can't see any of it being too interested in Earth though.

Snow ~ Did you ever see the TV mini-series called "V" back in 1984 with a remake in 2009. That was one cool science fiction drama! Very captivating and got high ratings, like "The Walking Dead" most recently.
Although they claimed to come in peace, they had another agenda all their own?

No I didn't see that. I do remember an old Twilight Zone series and one of them was about aliens fattening humans up then taking them back to their home as honored citizens and then eating them.

We have had so much rain that I have to mow more than usual and & simply wished that humankind would get off this need to worship the LAWN GODDESS!
I am keeping track of the cost of gasoline that it is costing to just mow the lawn this year.

Anyway, thoughts on the alien on your lawn? Ironically, stories of aliens coming here from other planets did not come from scientists, but science fiction writers using their imaginations. All scientists have speculated on is that there could possibly be "life" (viruses would constitute life) somewhere else in the universe. Scientists have never speculated about the chance of some ET style space alien ever appearing on our lawns. But it is good for a midnight scare.

Well once again, I'm having trouble believing. Oh ye of little faith! I'm a pretty good student in most subjects, but I have failed at faith since I was 12. It just got too difficult for me and I couldn't wrap my head around it.

There were 4 workers in our Sunday morning meeting today.... Two sisters and two brothers. Two of the brothers were my 1st and 3rd year companion in the work. It was good to see, and hear the friends testimonies and be in the worship meeting again in remembering Jesus life, death, and sacrifice.... Had they heard you were going to be there?

Plastic lawns became popular down here when water shortage made watering a problem. Kinda reverse of your issue but maybe a solution? I should warn you they are known to melt under alien landers. Good point. Still even the discovery of primitive life on mars would have threatened my world view back then. The theory of evolution was being questioned amongst the friends at that time. I'm amazed by how quickly we can adapt human belief systems to accomodate new facts. I wonder if christians in 500 years will have much in common with current day christians. If aliens were anything like humans it wouldn't surprise me if they turned up keen to try out our young on their cooking shows. Wouldn't surprise me if they turned up with invitations to a prayer meeting in a local galaxy either. Nathan, your beliefs don't sound exactly standard. Are they shared by many friends. Out of interest do you believe the reptilians or greys have infiltrated the professing group at all?

2) Out of interest do you believe the reptilians or greys have infiltrated the professing group at all? ~~ Yes, I believe so.... The greys, Reptilians/demons spirits are working to corrupt our minds into sins of the flesh, disobedience to God's will and words, encourage the spirit of rebellions, bringing/teaching in false doctrines, causing division/fighting among us so we get boggled down and less time in sharing the good news to the world.
Well, now that you have listed all those who "heap" OF praises on you, how about publishing the posts where some of us DON'T believe there is any truth in your posts about "Satan, fallen angels/demons, " and the "supernatural beings" and that you are just being being led down the garden path by a bunch of con artists?

1) Nathan, your beliefs don't sound exactly standard. Are they shared by many friends. ~~ The workers and the friends preach, teach, talk, and believe in Satan, the fallen angels/demons, and the good angels. So, I just explain and give more details of these supernatural beings works in our Universe and planet earth. Thanks for your replies Nathan. I hope you understand I was not questioning your level of personal support in the group, rather out of curiosity whether or not other friends believed in reptilians or greys, for example. Glad to read you support and feel supported. Call me dumb but I hadn’t thought of the heavenly hosts, demons and all that from the bible as representing alien races but now you have made the connection I can understand how you can hold what seemed to me conflicting beliefs. I’m with Snow on this so your views seem a bit extreme but then its likely any literal interpretation of the bible is going to seem out there to me. There are some wierd stories in there.

Nice of you to take out time of your busy schedule to speak with us!
I am trying to save on my "carbon footprint," as well as my energy, so I'm trying to not use up a lot fossil fuels in needless mowing. I would prefer some wild plant & flower seeds that you could bring me from your planet to sow in my LAWN. I'm trying to quit worshiping the that GREEN GODDESS, LAWN!
Take care, sir!
