Snow ~ I just knew a knowledgable Canadian would come through for me! If I counted right, there are seven (7) provinces in Eastern Canada which could fit the ticket here. Perhaps if the thread creator would specify which one of these Providences, somebody could help them out? Also, I'm a little curious as to the "Newfoundland/Labrador" designation ~ what is the reason for the slash between them? They are listed as Newfoundland and Labrador on the map provided in my reference above and appear to be two separate provinces. Can you clarify? Newfoundland is an Island and Labrador is on the far northeast corner of the mainland and looks like it should be part of Quebec. In 1774 Quebec was actually given jurisdiction over Labrador. In 1809 Labrador was given back to Newfoundland. Newfoundland was the last province to join the Confederation, 1949. They were fought over by the French, English, Portuguese and fluctuated between being French and English a number of times. Gander airbase was established and served as a North American defense base for the North Atlantic and was used by both Canada and the US for their bases. However, Labrador is it's own region too. It is within the Province of Newfoundland but is recognized as Newfoundland/Labrador. It all was really because of fishing treaties and the wars between the French and the English that had Labrador part of Quebec for awhile and then back to being part of Newfoundland. Way back the aboriginal people shared these two areas and today they are all one province. Possibly because Labrador is on the mainland and Newfoundland is an island, they decided to keep the two names? Not sure. It's got a neat history though. So, as a result of all these changes, are they considered two separate provinces or is Newfoundland and Labrador combined as one province today?

All of this is good and wonderful but even considering all of canada 99.98% of the world is eliminated! Yes, a very small portion of the whole world. Just thought I'd respond to what provinces were considered Eastern Canada for those who might not know. And I thought I would point out what a small portion of the globe is occupied by even a large country like Canada.

Psalm 49:7 No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them— Fixit ~ I was just going to quote that verse in response and you beat me to it. However, my reaction was the same as Jessi's above and I first wondered why the interest in meeting a worker? Perhaps our poster will let us know? I guess I'm dense for I don't get that Psalm has anything to do with the OP desire to met a worker!

Antioch, NE. The convention that is now apparently at Scottsbluff? Not sure. . . Yes, Faune, people should definitely exercise caution and not just invite anyone to stay with the family anymore. Especially if they have little girls. Watch them closely, Friends. Don't let them out of your sight at convention, especially. I hope the original poster wants to do what I have been trying to do. Question a worker (I Pet 3:15). But my experience has been that they are very elusive. If they see you first, they usually run. Next convention, I will remember to wear running shoes. The best way to get connected to a worker is to just walk up to one of the Friends and ask them a doctrinal question. Something like, "Do you believe Jesus is God?" They will have a worker there in two shakes. But you only have about 30 seconds before that worker will become suddenly extremely busy. Wondering why they have separate "workers tables" at conventions? It would be a whole lot easier if they sat with the "common people" so the Friends wouldn't have to run them down for any doctrinal issues that might come up -- very inconvenient. I truly did appreciate, though, that they would miss out on half their meal to make sure I got in touch with a worker to answer all my questions. That was admirable, and it did touch me, because I know they truly wanted to help me. Ps 49:7 If there are visiting workers and people want to visit with them, at some conv. they have asked the friends to make an appointment to visit...otherwords the first face-to-face is about when can the friends meet them for a talk and what time and what day, etc....how long can they spare, etc.....it's really something else to see the workers feeling so important that they have to make appointments just to visit with friends and kinfolk! This continues to play to the "headiness" of the power workers are given!

Rational ~ I was referring to the location in Eastern Canada, which is quite a big country itself with ten (10) provinces and three (3) large territories. I'm sure Eastern Canada might also take in a couple provinces, so it would help to know an approximate location. However, I do admit that the original poster did specify that he wanted to meet a worker. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_and_territories_of_Canada Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland/Labrador, and PEI are all considered Eastern Canada. And all are on the same workers' list.

Yes, we should hook them up with someone who preaches another Jesus and who may molest their children or rape someone in their family. Just any worker will do. I just talked to LW, and also found out (after I got home) that he has been accused of the rape of a sister worker. That was a little creepy. While I saw him running around "camp" unescorted -- it would have been nice to know what I was dealing with. AND -- he was at Antioch just last year -- and "preached." Wonder why he bounced from the Midwest to the east coast. That kinda a long way. Wonder who he is staying with. Wow. or Woe. Well, at least I found out eventually. Good job, everyone. Ps 49:7 NOT every worker molests children or are rapists.... Yes, there are bad apples in the ministry and fellowship. There are many good workers than bad ones. Canadian, I hope you get in touch with the right worker! It is estimated that 10 to 15 percent of clergy across the spectrum of Christian faiths that this sort of immorality has occurred. Not just among workers. About 5,000 Catholic leaders have been prosecuted and dismissed for sexual offences over the last 50 years. These crimes resulted in payments of 2 to 3 billion dollars and resulted in 8 dioceses going bankrupt. (www.wikipedia.org) It is extremely troubling no matter where it occurs; among workers or elsewhere.

Late but thanks for your posts , the reason I wanted to talk to a worker was that at times I feel enraged because of the way I was treated in the 2x2 and sometimes I would like to hear what they have to say about this ,since they have answers for everything .But I know quite well I'll never know.

I am sorry if you were treated badly, but try to overcome, be an overcomer with a spirit like Job's.
